Sources have told ESPN Brazil that Arsenal’s move for Pablo Marí has fallen through.

Flamengo were opposed to the terms of #AFC’s proposal. Marí has returned to Brazil after completing a medical in London.

According to the Evening Standard, Arsenal fans have nothing to worry regarding Pablo Mari's move to the Emirates. The centre-back is back in Brazil but he was expected to return anyway as the clubs have not finished negotiating.
Arsenal intend to loan the Spaniard until the end of the season with an eye of buying him in the summer if he impresses during the six-months spell in North London. Flamengo are opposed to the idea as they hope to sell him outright.
However, and this is the most important, neither the player nor Flamengo are against the move.
Earlier today, the Daily Mail broke a sensational story that the transfer could be called off due to the 'late hitch'. The news outlet also said that the 26-year-old was disappointed about the failure of two clubs to find the common ground.
The report by the Evening Standard - which is also backed by Goal.com's Charles Watts' tweet stating the same information - gives Arsenal fans some hope that Mari will end up wearing the Gunners' shirt before the transfer window shuts.
However, it's rather bizarre that the player decided to have his medical when Arsenal haven't agreed a deal with his current club.

The Athletic: Pablo Mari has returned to Brazil - planned as per normal procedure. However, Arsenal want loan with an option to buy for 2 reasons:

1. Saving cash - Club planning to have a big summer and back Arteta
