According to Turkish source TRT Spor, Mesut Ozil is ready to embark on a new journey after a horrendous spell under Unai Emery. The 30-year-old has been relegated to a benchwarmer since the Spaniard took over the club.
The German has capped just 71 minutes on the pitch in the Premier League this campaign and was not included in the matchday squad for the United clash at all.
The club reportedly wants to free up the wage bill by offloading Ozil, who is on £350,000-a-week deal. Thus, the Gunners will get funds to offer Alex Lacazette a contract extension on improved terms and secure his long-term future beyond 2022.
TRT Spor add, the north Londoners are ready to pay part of the attacking midfielder's salary to raise chances to find a suitor.
