May 2003: The media laughed at him and mocked him with headlines of “comical Wenger” after he failed to do it
May 2004: Arsène steps out to the pitch during the title celebration holding a t-shirt with the same headline, “comical Wenger” after winning the title unbeaten.
If this isn’t the ultimate middle finger to the media then I don’t know what is.
