Welcome on board GIDEN,
Now that you have some signal strength and quality, it looks like you have almost nailed this bird. Try Skewing the LNB while monitoring the signal meters. remember to do it as slow as possible and skew angles are very sensitive and also make sure your cable ends are tight both at the LNB and the receiver. Good luck bro.

Quality am still getting a mbegu 0% sijawahi pata anywhere in my forays a zero !

Confirmed.
The Uganda Mux is available on NSS 12 @ 57.0° East frequency 11043 H 4999 with the following 6 channels:.
NTV Uganda
WBS
NBS
Bukedde 1
Bukedde 2
TV West
Surprised to see Bukedde 2 which has not been available even on analogue.
UBC is not there and TV West has no audio.
Hello dejumbo,
I manually & blind scanned several times this evening between 20:00 - 22:00 and was getting the TP parameters but with no signal (0% on the signal meter). Are they still on for you?

People, Have you given up on me with my dead SRT4950H? Please share your ideas before i throw it away. It seems that even the strong tech people are not very helpful. I am relying on you brothers and sisters please share the little idea you have on reviving dead SRT4950H.

You can imagine the pain i am going through that after waiting for years for this box then luckly it arrives and before even i scan it for channel viewing then it dies in the process of upgrading. Sending it back is costly too, they are not found in shops here in Malawi, otherwise i could have gotten another one instantly.

wayachi wat is the decoder displaying when you switch it on ?

Afternoon to all bro's i am a newbie, just starting to sit up. hope i am welkam. Am at Kiambu, Ndumberi.Now to my question.
1. I have a 6ft pf, 4950h, Eurostar twin n a stargold satelite meter. with the above is it possible to bring down Nilesats?
2. Everything is connected but am getting an unstable strength of 55% and a nil Quality reading.where could i have gone wrong ?
3. The meter connected to LNB shows a strength of 80-92% but the decoder as above nakosea wapi ?
HELP ME OUT
I managed to upgrade to V3.20 could this affect my chances ?
Nataka kulipa fundi nikishindwa pliz help me out @ Kungu1,Ranksat, Vince9,all forumists !

Forget signal strength, what's the signal quality? I believe your azimuth is wrong, get that right first. Use your neighborhood's zuku and dstv dishes as a guide.

Hi to you all. Am a newbie in this forum and will very much appreciate anyone's assistance on this issue. I recently acquired strong 4950h. After upgrading software from V3 11p to V3 20p I noticed I lost some nice channels like Nat Geo. So I decided to load back v3 11p but unfortunately decoder won't downgrade. Is there a workaround for this, to revert back to V3 11p. N.b Any installer Kiambu, Thika or Nairobi please p.m . Would like you to track mbc for me different dish.
Flame: welcome to the ASAS referral hospital. I can see you will move from stable to critical soon. As for your problem, another victim, Vicwa had comprehensively covered this and had provided step by step procedure of how to do it. Check a few posts ago.

Besides what others have advised, have you tried to blind scan the stb? I discovered that with that strength, if you blind scan the 4950h, tps will pop up. This will enable you to tell which bird you have pointed your dish. Then you can continue with the hunt, or with tweaking and turning to get the optimal levels.

am getting them clear on 130cm offset
Thanks drandonzero for that update. I used a 90cm; I'll try again with a 130cm and find out what difference that makes. Which makes me want to ask if there's any one getting the Uganda Mux on NSS 12 @ 57.0˚E Freq 11043H 4999 with a 90cm given they're on the East Africa beam.

Anyone who has nabbed SES 4 ,@ 22°W C BAND please provide with the strongest tp coz the WINNERS CHAPEL CHANNEL have migrated to that bird from 62°E and I have clients who need repointing

just go to Amos5 and blind scan if he has KU Band

It displays nothing on screen. I am able to write software on it through pctool only but cannot boot. The strong tech people concluded a bootloader damage coz i used a pctool to upgrade in the first attempt. They have since advised me to collect a new programmed flash memory from their Dubai office for replacement,and i am yet to find a person who can collect it for me.

Hi Edison,
Tried to call but your number is switched off, Honestly, there is no need for 130cm for the Uganda MUx, Yesturday Asas Symptoms sent me on the roof at around 7:30pm to hunt for NSS 12 57east with my 90cm offset and with in 10mins, i nailed green with 80%. Unfortunately at around 8:00 the channels went off, it is eith my dish wasn't firm enough or someting went wrong on our side of the beam. anyway the full job will be for Friday when am home but i had these channels fro about 20 mins. it was too late for me to climb the roof again. below is the evidence:-

Check your setup again.
Just checked at 11am EA Standard Time on my NSS 12 using 90cm offset and Openbox S8 and got them loud and clear. The 90cm offset is primarily focused on Yahsat-1A at 52.5° East, and all I did was to add a simple LNB on top of the Yahsat and voila! you are on NSS 12.
Use freq. 11008 H 4882 for BW TV (Bundeswehr TV [encrypted]) to scan with any stb SD or HD.

I also got the following feeds:
TBC feed on 11503 H 2879
ANL feed 11555 H 3298
SE TV 11461 H 3499

After update my srt 4950h with the latest software V3.20P and did factory set/default,I was caught in this situation but managed to have a solution.first of all start by...
SRT 4950H STEPS.
1,Press menu button
2,Go to USB Expansion
3,Select USB menu
4,Press yellow button to upload
5,Select upload all software

upload all software => SRT-Backup (not necessary)
upload data => channelist
upload key => softcam 1.key.
All your upload files will be stored in USB MENU >>> ALL or SOFTWARE.
Then you can install software and files>>> data channelist or softcam 1.key afterward.
After that start update software with the latest v3.15-20p software.When updating software it will start with SW Erase and then SW Write,on the first stage of "SW Erase" switch power OFF on the main switch and then ON after 2-5 seconds,the srt will start updating software...
1,SW Read
2,SW Erase
3,SW Write.
Your Srt will be left with the old software, mine was left with v3.09p after that process. Meanwhile you can use the one leftover or update your Srt with another software... v3.07p to v3.12p and follow the process of
upload data => channelist
upload key => softcam 1.key.
Then manual scan the missing channels of TPs 11617v or blind scan your receiver afresh.

Hi Dejubo, What type and size of dish are you using to get Digiturk? I already have a stargolf fuji KU lnb for PF and am planning to get 180cm PF tomorrow for Digiturk. Do you think this will give me a descent signal quality?. Your advise will be highly appreciated.
