I have a used HUMAX IR 1020 HD that I acquired from an expatriate who left the country last year.
It was formerly used as ADMC PayTV decoder for EPL and it still has its smart card.
It has no remote and I would like to know if I can get a spare remote in Kenya and at what cost.
I understand this model cannot record thru its USB port (PVR function).
Is there any software upgrade out there that can make it more user friendly like using PVR?

People, Have you given up on me with my dead SRT4950H? Please share your ideas before i throw it away. It seems that even the strong tech people are not very helpful. I am relying on you brothers and sisters please share the little idea you have on reviving dead SRT4950H.

You can imagine the pain i am going through that after waiting for years for this box then luckly it arrives and before even i scan it for channel viewing then it dies in the process of upgrading. Sending it back is costly too, they are not found in shops here in Malawi, otherwise i could have gotten another one instantly.

The downside with the Z*K* stb of course is that as the sound skips, the picture hops - that is if you know what I am talking about.

Well let me say you are not totally clueless although I am not talking about $$$ of channels. Remember that your Z*k* decoder is fta capable by default.

This' what I mean: with Astrovox HD 9155, the picture freezes as the sound keeps playing. As for your Z*K* stb, the picture freezes and the sound is jerky. The much hyped srt 4950H has a slight delay in picture only. Interestingly, SRT 4950M plays both sound and picture like smooth oriental jaazzz music.

I have less experience with srt 4922 series. Infact this "misnoma" is true for Kenyamux at 70e.

Let the Gurus input too. Its all about sound and picture synchronization in respect to individual stb's "guts" so to say. As for me I love jazzz now.

I used the tps 12418 v 30000 and 12384 v 30000 to track.

Thanks Highlands, I get it. Was at Alfa electronics River Road for 4950H, n was in the process of acquiring one. Now u've brought a totally different dimension. Tht means i ask for 4950M. I hope there r no fakes in the market.
