Road accidents are rampant in Tanzania, with the police blaming them to reckless driving including over speeding, poor state of the roads and defective vehicles.

He called for the ‘anomaly' to be rectified. His sentiments drew strong opposition from the Tanroads Manager for Dar es Salaam Region, James Nyakabari, who maintained that the road was well built, but that accidents resulted from reckless driving.
He remarked further: "Anyone driving from either direction of the road has clear sight of the whole stretch, and what's more, the lane-demarcating lines are very clear."....................

The statistics included an accident that occurred on December 2007 at Kibamba Hospital, killing seven passengers, injuring eleven.
In May last year, two drivers lost their lives after their vehicles were involved into a head-on collision on the same area while in January this year, 18 people were injured in an accident that occurred on the dark spot.
According to government statistics, 2,600 people die every year in the country due to accidents and another 17,000 are injured.

Nairobi wameweza kwa kiwango kikubwa kupanua barabara zinazoingia katikati ya Jiji, na mpaka sasa wanaendelea na upanuzi huo, sisi tunashindwa nini? Ni nini priorities za serikali yetu?
Kinachosikitisha, wanaendelea na ujenzi wa vibarabara finyu, na hivi vinatuingiza gharama pia tena kwa kubamizwa bei za kifisadi na makampuni yanayojenga vibarabara hivi uchwara!

watu wengi wana over look hio mifereji/mtaro.mtaro gani 4x4 car/lorry likiingia halitoki,hivi ule mtaro ungekuwa umefunikwa lile lorry lisingelalia ile hiace,probably vifo vingepungua au visingekuwepo.
pata picha umelose control ya gari due to any factor si utazama kwenye huo mtaro coz there is no room to manouvre.
