A video clip circulating on different social media platforms including X and TikTok shows Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine together with his wife claiming to have returned to Uganda at Entebbe Airport.
The video is however misleading as it does not stem from 2026, It was recorded way back in September 2017 when Bobiwine was arrested by security personnel upon landing at Entebbe airport

A video clip circulating on various social media platforms, including X and TikTok, shows Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, together with his wife, claiming that they have returned to Uganda at Entebbe Airport.
Verdict: Misleading (Old video)
Using digital verification tools such as Google Reverse Image Search, JamiiCheck found that the video circulating online since May 2, 2026, and labeled as breaking news with the caption “Happening now at Entebbe Airport: Bobi Wine back in Uganda,” is not recent.
The same video has been online since at least 2024, where different users shared it with varying captions see here and here. For instance, one user posted the video on April 26, 2024, with the caption:
“H.E Bobi Wine is back in the country and has briefed the nation about Honourable Ssegirinya’s current condition.”
Additionally, there are no credible news reports from May 2, 2026, indicating that Bobi Wine has returned to Uganda. It should be noted that a few months ago, he began a tour in the United States and other locations.
