US Election Coverage 2008

US Election Coverage 2008

Vioja vyote vinafanywa na Republicans! yaani mtu ukiangalia Obama, starting with his family, his camapaign, his choice of VP, shows him to be solid, steady, na Babu yake Nyani is absolutely erractic!!! Lakini simlaumu hajui cha kufanya na washauri nao wanazidi kumchanganya. but part of being a leader is to choose to surround yourself with smart people.

Nadhani kituko kuliko wote ni Biden....kinachomsadia ni kwamba kila mtu anajua yeye ni kituko so it's expected of him. Sarah akitoa gaffe inakuwa big deal kwa sababu sio establishment. Lakini Biden ni gaffe..gaffe..gaffe kila siku. Actually I kind of like him coz he cracks me up...

Hmmm, this is now VEWY interesting:
New Rasmussen Poll puts Obama up

Obama: 50 (48)
McCain: 45 (50)
Rasmussen Reports

The current poll marks the first time that either candidate has had more than a two-point advantage in Virginia since May. George W. Bush won Virginia by eight percentage points in 2000 and 2004, but Democrats have focused on Virginia this year as a red state they hope to peel away from Republicans.

Just nine percent (9%) of Virginia voters rate the economy as good or excellent while 57% say it is in poor shape. Just five percent (5%) say the economy is getting better; 83% say it is getting worse.
Mi niliamini Virginia will remain Republican lakini naona hii economy itabadili sana the game.....

unashusha expectations?, this will be presidential debate and not Academic debate . Hahahahah uchaguzi huu kweli ni entertainment tosha kabisa mwaka huu.

Hapana sishushi expectations. Kama huamini nenda CNN ukasearch ile habari ya poll inayodai Obama atashinda debate.

PALIN SHOULD STEP DOWN:

Prominent conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, an early supporter of Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, said Friday recent interviews have shown the Alaska governor is "out of her league" and should leave the GOP presidential ticket for the good of the party.

The criticism in Parker's Friday column is the latest in a recent string of negative assessments toward the McCain-Palin candidacy from prominent conservatives.

It was fun while it lasted," Parker writes. "Palin's recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who is clearly out of her league."

Palin's interview with Couric drew criticism when the Alaska governor was unable to provide an example of when John McCain had pushed for more regulation of Wall Street during his Senate career. Palin also took heat for defending her foreign policy credentials by suggesting Russian leaders enter Alaska airspace when they come to America. Palin was also criticized last week for appearing not to know what the Bush Doctrine is during an interview with Charlie Gibson.

"If BS were currency, Palin could bail out Wall Street herself," Parker also writes. "If Palin were a man, we'd all be guffawing, just as we do every time Joe Biden tickles the back of his throat with his toes. But because she's a woman - and the first ever on a Republican presidential ticket - we are reluctant to say what is painfully true."

Parker, who praised McCain's "keen judgment" for picking Palin earlier this month and wrote the Alaska governor is a "perfect storm of God, Mom and apple pie," now says Palin should step down from the ticket.

"Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves," Parker writes. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first. Do it for your country."

Parker's comments follow those by prominent conservatives David Brooks, George Will, and David Frum who have all publicly questioned Palin's readiness to be vice president.

"Sarah Palin has many virtues," Brooks wrote in a recent column. "If you wanted someone to destroy a corrupt establishment, she'd be your woman. But the constructive act of governance is another matter. She has not been engaged in national issues, does not have a repertoire of historic patterns and, like President Bush, she seems to compensate for her lack of experience with brashness and excessive decisiveness

I think Obantu should bow out of this presidential race for the good of humanity. He is in way over his head as I believe Bill Clinton said. The potential for this empty suit to screw up the lives of all citizens of the world is very high. I would rather have Palin in the office over Obantu any day. The man can't even speak without a teleprompter. I am waiting for him to go "Um-um-um-the - thing - is -um - um" and nothing of substance. If Obantu gets elected he will be America's Mugabe, a complete disaster!

Nyani, nimesema kuwa Dick Morris ni kweli alimponda mama, na si ulikuwepo wewe surrogate wake kumtetea? Tatizo liko wapi? Still ukweli imebaki ya kuwa Dick Morris is not authority when it comes to politics maana amesha-change positions more than I care to count. He has intresesting things to say, even if they are not always things I agree with.

Bado dakika kama 38 hivi McOld aanze kuadhirika kwenye debate. I hope Nyani ataaangalia babu yake anavyoadhirika 🙂
