Tanzania: Did you know? Twenty years ago, the World Bank predicted rural electrification in Tanzania would take 100 years, but Tanzanians said no and did something different.
Now, in less than half a century, they have achieved it. They have even gone further with functional electric trains from Dar to Dodoma.
The SGR is extending to Mwanza and Isaka, with the ultimate goal of connecting Rwanda, Burundi and the DRC.
