Spanish sources claim Real Madrid have given Mateo Kovacic the all-clear to join Milan on loan next season.
The rumour had already emerged in Italy and now it is suggested the deal is already at an advanced stage.
Croatia international midfielder Kovacic only made the move from Inter 8 months ago, but has struggled for playing time.
As Real Madrid paid €31m to get him, they don’t want to run the risk of seeing his value plummet.
Kovacic turns 22 next month and needs to be on the field regularly, so Milan would offer a dry loan without option to buy.
The report notes Kovacic is likely to begin pre-season training with Madrid and then a decision will be made once the squad is planned out for the campaign. [Source AS]
