I was listening to the key note speech by Prof. PLO Lumumba at the 3rd Anti-Corruption Convention that took place on 2nd December 2013 at Hotel Africana, Kampala, Uganda and I noted that it is an eye opener to the situations in most African countries. Please listen this real son of Africa and enjoy.

Asante. Ebu tusikilize tena na hii hotuba ambayo ni mchanganyiko wa clips za Prof Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba. Hotuba hii ingawa inalenga wananchi wa Kenya, lakini inagusa mambo ya Waafrika kwa ujumla ikiwemo Tanzania.

Thank you Mama Mdogo for sharing this Video. I wish all Tanzanians would have an opportunity to follow up Prof. Lumumba's lecture in Kiswahili or their vernaculars (mother tongue) should that have happened, we would have changed our behavioral DNA to a more better character and act rationally in all walks of our life. I have always believed that Africa has the best minds in the World. Prof. Lumumba is one of them. It is good of him that he uses his intellect, knowledge and expertise to lighten a candle of hope for Africans. It is however, very unfortunately that some of African best leaders, scientists, artists and sportspeople run away from Africa and seeks refuge in the Diaspora. I commend that we have more and more of these dialogues for a better Africa and Tanzania to be exact.

Kila kizazi na amali yake, kizazi hiki kinahitaji mawazo mapya yanayoendana na mazingira ya sasa.

Nyerere na Nkrumah kama wangefufuka leo "wangesema mawazo yetu hayafai kutumika katika zama hizi ", na kwa kuwa hawatofufuka kutueleza, tunapaswa pia tujiongeze. Maendeleo tuliyoyafikia kama taifa au ulimwengu kwa ujumla wake, tunapaswa tujikite kufikiria solutions ambazo ni time and environment based. Solutions walizozitumia Nkrumah na Nyerere kutatua matatizo yaliyowakabilia miaka michache baada ya kupata uhuru haziwezi kutumika miaka hamsini baada ya uhuru wa nchi hizo.
