Our first rallies of the day in Kalagala (Mukono North) and Kasawo (Nakifuma County). Even amidst the intimidation and security brutality, the people of Mukono did not back down today. Throughout our journey, we witnessed multiple scenarios where police and security operatives kept attacking peaceful civilians who had gathered on the sidelines of the road to wave at us. Of course, the criminal regime will not speak about such incidents but will ironically accuse the victims of their brutality and shield the perpetrators like the norm has been. But we know that as day follows night, the oppressed people of Uganda shall have the last laugh. A vote for the umbrella is a vote for good governance, servant leadership and a people centered government that will respect rights for all. Thank you Mukono for showing up in large numbers!

Masses Lakeside grounds in Jinja city is where we have wound up our first campaign rally. The turn up has been massive. We preached our message of freedom and rallied the people of Jinja City and Busoga at large to be part of the protest vote by voting for the umbrella symbol at all electoral levels. Jinja was once an industrial hub, and that is one of the key issues that the NUP government shall tackle once we are entrusted with the people’s mandate to steer this nation ahead.
