NUP-Uganda campaigns: Revolutionary drive for protes-vote-2026

The regime spent the whole Tuesday night demobilizing the people of Kazo and Kiruhura districts in a bid to scare them away from attending our rallies. We were informed by locals that several of our coordinators were dumped in police cells, our posters torn, and RDCs preached a message of fear and intimidation to the people.

As if that was not enough even as we drove to the venues, we encountered mobilized gangs wearing yellow T-shirts and carrying sticks and stones to launch attacks at us. These gangs were under the tight guard of the regime police, the absurdity.

Getting to Kazo too was also a struggle on its own. We encountered freshly graded roads that had heaps of soils in the middle and dangerously drug trenches aimed at slowing our speed. But we did not relent and still got to the venues. For Kiruhura district, the people informed us that they were asked by the regime police officials to close their shops and stay at home for their own ‘safety’. But regardless of all this, we have been able to successfully conclude our campaign. The struggle to liberate Uganda will have all sorts of challenges but we shall thrive with perseverance.

Moments as the criminal regime operatives laid an ambush on us in Bwizibwera town council as we were heading for our next campaign rally. Several of our comrades have been brutally beaten and arrested. The criminals in uniform hiding behind masks broke into our vehicles and began picking up our campaign team members. They switched off the Internet using their usual network jammers to hide their criminality. The regime ought to know that the world is watching all their criminality.

The criminal regime through its enablers and agents have been trying to rely on outdated intimidation tactics aimed at demobilizing our people but we have successfully managed to interface with them.

For so long, the people of Kigezi sub region have been desperate for a new government that will respect their rights and freedom. As we speak today, the great icon of Kigezi sub region Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye is among the many political prisoners in detention. Our new government intends to restore justice for all by freeing all political prisoners who have been jailed under trumped up charges.
