Naibu Waziri Mkuu na Waziri wa Nishati, Dk Doto Biteko amefanya uteuzi wa wajumbe wanane wa bodi ya wakurugenzi wa Shirika la Umeme Tanzania (Tanesco) watakaohudumu kwa miaka mitatu.

Wajumbe hao ni Dk Lucy Mboma, Isaack Chanji, Boma Raballa, Grace Joachim, Profesa Hellen Bandiho, Balozi Zuhura Bundala, Profesa Ninatubu Lema aliyewahi kuwa mwenyekiti wa Bodi ya Usajili wa Wahandisi ( ERB) na Mwenyekiti wa Bodi ya Ushauri wa Viwanja vya Ndege Tanzania (TAA).

Mwingine ni Idris Kikula, aliyewahi kuwa mwenyekiti Tume ya Madini Tanzania, pia kuwa Makamu Mkuu wa Chuo Kikuu cha Dodoma (Udom).

Taarifa kwa vyombo vya habari iliyotolewa jana Machi 14, 2024 na Katibu Mkuu wa Wizara ya Nishati, Felschesmi Mramba imeeleza hayo huku ikifafanua kuwa uteuzi huo utaanza Jumatatu Machi 18, 2024.

Katika taarifa hiyo, Mramba amesema, Dk Biteko amefikia uamuzi huo baada ya Rais Samia Suluhu Hassan kumteua Dk Rhimo Nyansaho kuwa mwenyekiti wa bodi ya wakurugenzi wa Tanesco Desemba 19, 2023.

Dk Nyansaho amechukua nafasi ya Meja Jenerali Paul Simuli, aliyetuliwa kuwa Balozi wa Tanzania nchini Uganda.

Dk Nyansaho ni mkurugenzi wa maendeleo ya biashara wa benki ya Azania.

Mramba aliyewahi kuwa bosi wa Tanesco, amesema Dk Biteko amefanya uteuzi huo kwa mujibu wa kifungu namba 19 (1) na (3) cha Sheria ya Mashirika ya Umma ya mwaka 1992.

Bodi iliyopita iliongozwa na mwenyekiti Omary Issa na wajumbe walikuwa Nehemiah Mchechu, Balozi Mwanaid Majaar, Christopher Gachuma, Mhandisi Cosmas Massawe, Lawrence Mafuru, Zawadi Nanyaro, Abubakar Bakhresa na Abdallah Hashim.

Sr. Hellen Anthony Bandiho, STH, Ph.D. is from Tanzania, East Africa and belongs to the international congregation of the Sisters of St. Therese of the Child Jesus (STH). She is a member of her congregation’s leadership team where she is responsible for fundraising and has an impressive record of service, sitting on many committees and boards.

Sr. Hellen received her BS in Business and her MBA from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin. She earned her Doctorate of Education: Educational Leadership from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She has over 15 years experience leading and teaching in a higher education setting. She was the Director of St. Augustine University in Tanzania where she also taught management and leadership courses. Sr. Hellen is the author of numerous publications relating to educational leadership.

Sr. Hellen is also the fourth recipient of the Visiting Scholar Fellowship at Georgetown University's Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA). While at CARA, Sr. Hellen will pursue research titled, Women Religious in Tanzania: Effective Evangelization in Modern Society. The main question she seeks to answer with her research is “How can the sisters be prepared, beyond formal education, to address spiritual and social needs of the youth today?”
