Nakuunga mkono, ifikie mahala tuachane na appointments tena za Rais (katiba mpya lazima iangalie hili). The presence of RCs and DCs is not directly linked to good governance and efficiency or productivity. These are the guys riding VXL, living lavishly at the cost of poor mwananchi and they are the ones doing the nitty gritty stuff to make sure the name of the President in upheld high!! They block real democracy from the grassroots!!

Why do they vie for parliamentary seats while a normal civil servant is advised to be apolitical?? Look at the RCs and DCs today. They are victims of past elections!! Tufike mahala tuseme "kupeana kula" basi!!! Regional Secretary should lead a team of District Development Directors in a region and that is all is needed. Regional Secretaries are the recognised governmental potfolios, RCs are a duplication and a sick one!! We should not have/need them!

This is what i have been talking about. Tje RCs and DCs are there merely to uphold the person who appoints them. If we real need them, let them be elected by people living in the particular area.
