As a Cavs fan, I despise Lebron more than Everton. Agree with Red in Blood, its just a matter of time before his drunken mother shows up in Liverpool. LOL. On the flip side, if he doesn't expect any return on investment, then take his cash. EPL isn't for those seeking a profit.

This is why people don't view LeBron in the same level as Jordan or Kobe.
He's no doubt talented and probably the best basketball player right now, but..
Jordan and Kobe had their own legacies and multiple championships.
LeBron is just being pushed more as a commodity instead of a legend in the sport that he plays.

Bruce to go on the attack

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is ready to go back on the offensive as he targets a strong finish to the season.
Injuries have severely limited the manager's options in recent months with Danny Welbeck's absence in the wake of Darren Bent's departure in particular proving costly.
The Black Cats slipped to their sixth defeat in seven Premier League outings at Manchester City on Sunday and have not scored in seven hours 20 minutes of football stretching back to Asamoah Gyan's early strike in the 2-1 home defeat by Tottenham on February 12.

However, Welbeck's return from a knee injury gives Bruce another option, and he has hinted that the 4-5-1 system which has proved so unproductive in recent weeks could be abandoned for a more progressive approach for West Brom's visit to the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
He told the club's official website, Sunderland | SAFC Home "There will be a very different slant on things.
"We have worked on the basics all week as a team. With the losses we have had, we have had to play one up front and play some different systems.
"Now we have a few bodies back we can revert to type, a 'Steve Bruce' team if you like, similar to the Sunderland we saw in previous months.
"Players coming back give us a different option."
Bruce had also hoped to have Fraizer Campbell available at City after a seven-month lay-off, also with a knee injury, but he was a late withdrawal from the squad after twisting his knee in training last Friday.
Campbell saw a specialist earlier this week and while the initial news was encouraging - it had been feared he could be ruled out for the final seven games of the campaign - the Black Cats will know the full extent of any damage tomorrow when they receive the report.
Bruce said: "We will know more on Friday about Fraizer. We are hopeful he could be okay, though not for the weekend."
Campbell's latest misfortune was compounded by another training ground injury to defender Titus Bramble, who also missed out at Eastlands after damaging a knee cartilage.
Again, the early prognosis was bleak, but while the former Newcastle and Wigan player will sit out again this Saturday, there have been suggestions his season may not yet have drawn to a close.
Sunderland's 5-0 drubbing at City saw them slip to 12th place in the table, just six points clear of the relegation zone.
But while there was little to cheer for Bruce, he was at least able to console himself with Michael Turner's return from his own lengthy absence, also with a knee problem, and Welbeck's fitness.
The manager said: "That's the biggest thing I have now, competition. Danny Welbeck is fit, he adds competition to Gyan - that's what a strong, healthy squad is all about.
"Unfortunately for us over the last few weeks, we have been missing that, I haven't really had that to freshen it up when probably we needed to.
"But it's slowly coming."

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is out for the season while Glen Johnson will be missing for a month after both were injured at West Brom.

Agger was forced off in the first half with a tendon problem and after assessment by the club's medical staff the 26-year-old has been told he will be sidelined for two months.
"Daniel has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won't be involved again this season," said manager Kenny Dalglish.
"He'll be out for a couple of months before he can start training."
Johnson was also forced off at The Hawthorns with a hamstring injury, and the England defender will be missing for a month.

Shallow squad shocked Reds owner

Owner John Henry admits the depth of the Liverpool squad was one of his primary concerns when Fenway Sports Group bought the club last year.
The American said the financial outlay on the group of players in terms of salaries was huge in comparison to the resources available.

FSG paid £300million to buy the club from Tom Hicks and George Gillett in October but Henry admitted tackling problems with the squad was "a bigger issue than we feared".
"The worst surprise was the lack of depth in the squad," the American told FourFourTwo magazine.
"Our biggest concern in taking on this responsibility was this issue and it was a bigger issue than we feared.
"There was a huge multi-year pay-roll for a squad that had very little depth."
Liverpool's director of football Damien Comolli has already indicated he expects to have a busy summer as a huge overhaul of the squad begins.
And that indicates FSG's determination to get the club into a position where they can start challenging for a championship they last won in 1990.
"Our number one priority is to win the Premier League title," added Henry.
"That is what we take with us each day to work as the force that drives us to excel.
"If we can accomplish that we will have put ourselves in a position to be successful on all fronts including Europe.
"Success is winning championships. It is nothing less than that."

isonge mbele.

Petr Cech has revealed his desire to double the length of his Chelsea stay and insists he still 'feels the same excitement' as when he signed.
Goalkeeper Cech is nearing the end of his seventh season at Stamford Bridge, which should see him beat the appearance record for an overseas player of 312 held by Gianfranco Zola.

And the 28-year-old, who will play his 304th Blues game in Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United, has no intention of stopping there, revealing he wants to rack up 600 for the club.
Cech, whose arrival at Chelsea coincided with the most successful period in the club's history, told Chelsea Magazine: "When I joined the club in 2004, I was 22-years-old and full of excitement.
"Now I'm here, almost seven years later, and I still feel the excitement and I still like it.
"To hear someone say that you have made over 300 appearances for Chelsea sounds really nice, especially when, over that time, we have been regarded as one of the best clubs in Europe, and in the world.
"I hope there will be more to come. Now, it's 300. But, who knows, maybe it can be 600 in years to come."
Cech has won every major domestic trophy multiple times while at Stamford Bridge and will tonight attempt to move a step closer to landing the one prize that has eluded him, the Champions League.
But despite his determination to spend another seven years with last season's double winners, Cech admitted he could not see himself getting anywhere near fellow goalkeeper Peter Bonetti's 729 Chelsea appearances.
He said: "Peter Bonetti spent 20 years at the same club!
"That's a long time and, you never know, but - at the moment - I can't see me still playing when I'm 38 or older.
"I can hardly imagine it because nowadays the game is so fast and demanding.
"As long as the club and everybody else wants me to stay and play for Chelsea I will be happy to do so."
Cech does have one club record firmly in his sights though, saying: "The only non-British player who has more games than me now is Gianfranco Zola, and he is one of the club's biggest legends.
"So, if I can get over 312 games, that's another milestone and it will make me proud again."

Scudamore: No cut in PL teams

Richard Scudamore has ruled out a cut in the size of the Premier League and said that UEFA and FIFA have to make space for any winter break.
The league was initially planned to be made up of 18 clubs rather than 20 but Premier League chief executive Scudamore said there was "no way" the numbers could be reduced now.
He told MPs on the culture, media and sport committee that the onus was on UEFA and FIFA to make space available if a winter break was going to be introduced.

Scudamore said the Premier League, FA Cup and Carling Cup competitions had all reduced the number of match days in the last 20 years.
He said: "We have to look to our friends at UEFA and FIFA as the culprits.
"UEFA used to have 13 match days now they want 21. FIFA used to have nine or 10 international dates and now it is averaging 12. Somebody has to give something up.
"If we had 18 teams [instead of 20] it would mean going from 380 events to 306 and there is no way we would do that in terms of public interest and fan interest."
Meanwhile, Premier League chairman Sir Dave Richards claimed ex-FA chairman Lord Triesman was the man responsible for agreeing a new deal with England manager Fabio Capello - and insisted that he had just been left to "pick up the pieces".
Triesman last month said he had nothing to do with removing a clause Capello's contract, allowing the Italian to stay until 2012.
But Richards told MPs that Triesman had made the decision, which the FA admitted last week had been a "mistake" because it should have been passed by the FA board.
Richards said that he was informed at a meeting in April last year that Triesman had agreed Capello could stay until 2012 - the FA chairman then resigned the following month.
He said: "It was the first time I had heard of that, it had been pre-agreed with the chairman.
"Unfortunately I had to pick up the pieces from that and had to bear the brunt of the blame.
"I wouldn't take a decision like that on my own - I have always been one to consult."
In February, Triesman told the inquiry Richards used aggressive tactics to bully others in the game into blocking the FA's efforts to change - but the Premier League chairman said he was hurt by such accusations.
"That statement by Lord Triesman really saddened me. I have never bullied anyone," he said.
"To think the Premier League chairman can block nine others [FA board members] is ridiculous.
"To be called a bully, that really hurt - for 12 years I have one of the chairman of the NSPCC and have helped raised half a billion pounds for children who are victims of bullying."

VILLARREAL, Spain (AP)

Brazil striker Nilmar scored twice as Villarreal punished a lackluster FC Twente with a 5-1 win at Madrigal Stadium in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals on Thursday.
The match was marred by a leg injury to Villarreal defender Gonzalo Rodriguez, who was taken to hospital in an ambulance with a suspected broken fibula, television reports said.

''We have to dedicate this game to Gonzalo,'' Nilmar said. ''It's an important step, we played very well and we did exactly what we worked on.''
Villarreal opened the scoring against the Dutch league leaders in the 22nd minute when defender Carlos Marchena headed in a corner kick at the far post.
Twente striker Luuk de Jong left the field limping with an ankle injury and had to be substituted by Marc Janko in the 33rd.
Nilmar then delicately lobbed the ball over stranded goalkeeper Nikolay Mihaylov only to hit the right post in the 34th.
Borja Valero stretched Villarreal's lead when he struck a low shot which Mihaylov just made contact with but could not deflect away from goal in the 43rd.
Nilmar headed a stray ball down powerfully in the penalty area, beating Mihaylov for Villarreal's third goal in the 45th.
Giuseppe Rossi hit a long shot hard from outside the penalty area over two Twente defenders and to the right of Mihaylov into the back of the net in the 55th.
Two yellow cards featured in the next 15 minutes, for separates incidents by Roberto Rosales and Janko, whose tackle from behind on Villarreal defender Rodriguez forced him to be stretchered off. TV channel Cuatro reported Rodriguez's fibula was broken in the tackle and the player was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Nilmar struck a powerful shot straight past Mihaylov in the 80th for Villarreal's fifth goal.
Janko pulled one back for Twente with a header in injury time, causing a hush to fall on the 23,000-strong crowd.
The return leg is next Thursday in the Netherlands.

Yea Portugal also has that cultural tie to Brazil so its automatic appeal to Brazillians to play in Portugal. The Netherlands has Indonesia and Suriname only the latter of which has contributed high-end talent and the population of Suriname pales in comparison to Brazil. You are right though the deep runs of Porto and Sporting have helped. Ajax was a disappointment I thought they would might even nip Milan. I fully expected Madrid to dominate the group. Twente the dutch champions were really getting its bearing in the CL---first time or first time in a long time the qualified---their weak performance was not uprising and nothing for them to be ashamed off.

Benfica beats PSV 4-1 in Europa League

LISBON, Portugal (AP)

Eduardo Salvio scored in each half as Benfica outclassed PSV Eindhoven 4-1 in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal on Thursday.
After Pablo Aimar gave the home team the lead in the 37th minute, Salvio scored twice in a seven-minute span bridging halftime to put Benfica in command.
Midfielder Zakaria Labyad gave PSV hope for the second leg when he pounced on a fumble by Benfica goalkeeper Roberto Gago to score an away goal just a minute after coming on as a 79th-minute substitute for out-of-form striker Marcus Berg.

But Javier Saviola stretched Benfica's lead to three goals when he turned and fired into the roof of the net in injury time.
''They outclassed us in the first half,'' PSV coach Fred Rutten said. ''In the second half they relaxed after the 3-0 and that allowed us to play.''
The match in Lisbon was a repeat of the 1988 European Cup final that PSV won on penalties after a 0-0 draw, but the Eindhoven team never looked like repeating the victory on Thursday.
Benfica overpowered Eindhoven early, but poor crosses and finishing kept the match goalless until Aimar made the pressure pay when he pounced on a loose ball after Oscar Cardozo's attempted shot and drove the ball hard under Andreas Isaksson.
Salvio made it 2-0 on the stroke of halftime, cleverly using his heel behind his standing leg to deflect a cross from Fabio Coentrao past Isaksson.
PSV's only chance of the first half fell to Berg, but the Swede headed wide in the 20th after beating Jardel to get to a threatening cross from the left by Balazs Dzsudzsak.
Benfica could have been further ahead before the break. Aimar came close in the 7th when he turned away from Wilfred Bouma and fired a left-foot shot against the post, and Cardozo drew a good save from Isaksson with a powerful long-range drive.
Salvio scored his second and Benfica's third seven minutes after the break. The Argentina striker beat PSV defenders Erik Pieters and Marcelo before drilling a low shot just inside the far post.
And after Labyad's strike, Saviola controlled a sharp pass from the right in the dying seconds, turned, and blasted the ball past Isaksson to give Benfica a comfortable cushion for the second leg in Eindhoven.
PSV's job in the second leg was made harder when Netherlands defender Pieters and midfielder Orlando Engelaar both picked up yellow cards and will be suspended for the return in Eindhoven.

KIEV, Ukraine (AP)

Braga secured a 1-1 away draw against 10-man Dynamo Kiev after an own goal canceled out the host's early lead in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals on Thursday.
Andriy Yarmolenko headed the Ukrainian team into the lead in only the 6th minute, rising to meet a floated cross from Oleh Husev. But Husev deflected the ball into his own net in the 13th to give Portuguese side Braga a crucial away goal.

Dynamo looked the brighter team but was hampered when talisman Andriy Shevchenko was sent off only 15 minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.
''The tie consists of two games, and if we weren't lucky in this game it's not so bad, as we'll be more pumped up for the next match,'' said Dynamo goalkeeper Oleksandr Shovkovskiy.
It seemed Dynamo was set for a good evening when Husev picked out Yarmolenko with a floated cross.
But calamity followed when a corner from Hugo Viana somehow threaded its way past several players in the box, and Ognjen Vukojevic stretched for the ball under pressure from Alan, hitting it off Husev into the goal.
The rest of the first half belonged to Dynamo.
In the 16th, Goran Popov powered up the left touchline, and passed into the box to Milevskiy, whose deft backheel into the path of Yarmolenko was chipped just over.
Husev hit a powerful shot from 25 meters (yards) out in the 37th, which Artur managed to just tip over.
Artem Kravets rose between two defenders in the 43rd to head a corner toward goal, but the goalkeeper was on hand again to acrobatically push the ball over the bar.
The game changed when Shevchenko, on as a halftime substitute, was dismissed for a second yellow card in the 61st after he rounded the goalkeeper and shot into the goal, apparently not hearing the offside whistle.
Shevchenko thought he was unlucky to be sent off.
''I didn't hear the whistle. The goalkeeper didn't hear it either and played on,'' he said.
Alan almost took immediate advantage, sprinting clear two minutes later. But Yevhen Khacheridi did well to get back and make the tackle.
The game became scrappy, as Dynamo struggled to mount attacks with its one-man deficit, and Braga seemed happy to take a 1-1 scoreline back to Portugal next Thursday.

IAA 2010 World Athlete of the Year David Rudisha of Kenya.

Nairobi. The world record holder and IAAF 2010 World Athlete of the Year, Kenya's David Rudisha, will make his 1,000 metres debut at the 50th Ostrava Golden Spike Meeting on May 31, organisers have announced. It will be his fourth appearance in the Czech city after he finished second in 2008 and won in 2009 and 2010 in his 800m speciality. The event itself will also be staged for first time.

"I'm very happy to be running again in Ostrava. It is a good meeting; of course one of my favourites," Rudisha said in a statement for the organisers. "This year it's exciting for me to be running a new distance; my first time to try 1,000 metres."I understand why people might ask me about the world record but really I can't talk of this yet....

"I aim to run a strong race and to run well but I think it is not realistic to think of world record for my first attempt at the distance."Maybe in the future I can come back to do this in Ostrava."After two races in Australia (1:43.88 and 1:44:80) he plans two competitions before Ostrava. In Doha and in Rome, Rudisha will check his 800m shape.

‘Blade Runner' invited
Meanwhile, Russian world's top high jumper Ivan Ukhov is well known in the Czech Republic, but from indoor competitions. Now, he will for first time jump outdoors in Ostrava.

Organisers are hoping he may attack the meet (2.31 metres) or stadium (2.32m) records. The Russian, who was undefeated last indoor season, will debut outdoors in Ostrava. His indoor debuts in the past two years were remarkable (2.37m and 2.38m in Hustopece). But, it should be admitted, his outdoor best is 2.36m.

His main rival will be home star Jaroslav Baba, who won silver at European Indoor Championships.Baba now lives in Prague but comes from Ostrava area and trained at the City Stadium of Ostrava since beginning of his career for 10 years.

The men's high jump will be staged at the meet for first time since 2007. The third top name announced is "Blade Runner" Oscar Pistorius from South Africa for the 400m.He recently improved to an excellent 45.61 seconds, which is a ‘B' qualifying standard for this year's World Championship in Daegu, South Korea.

"I am very excited to be competing in Ostrava. I have never had the opportunity to compete there yet and I know the organisers have been trying to get me to compete here for the past couple of seasons and I am glad this time round the dates could work out," Pistorious said.

"I know the field will be strong in the 400m and the race tough but I will most certainly look to try and achieve the IAAF ‘A' standard in Ostrava and give it my best." (EME News).
