Tumetengeneza chances zaidi baada ya Torres na Benayoun kuingia, the guy just missing that finishing touch. Mbona hukusema Rooney akae bench baada ya kucheza miezi kibao bila kufunga huku akidai aongezewe mshiko?!....LOL

haya mkuu kila la kheri.

Rafael fit to face Chelsea

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Rafael da Silva should be fit to face Chelsea on Tuesday.
The Manchester United defender was stretchered off with a knee injury in the Reds' Champions League first-leg victory at Stamford Bridge last Wednesday, immediately casting doubt on his involvement in the return leg at Old Trafford.
The young Brazilian did manage to limp unassisted onto the United team bus that evening, but the Reds still sent the 20-year-old for a precautionary scan the following day.
At his press conference on Friday morning, Sir Alex revealed there had been "no bruising or ligament damage to his knee" and was confident the right-back would be fit to line up against Chelsea on Tuesday.
There was a similar diagnosis after the Reds' 2-0 win against Fulham on Saturday.
"Rafael should be okay for Tuesday," he revealed, while also acknowledging the return of a number of other players.

Fergie: We'll match Chelsea hunger

April 11, 2011

By ESPNsoccernet staff

Sir Alex Ferguson insists Manchester United have just as much hunger to win the Champions League as Chelsea despite Roman Abramovich's "obsession" with the trophy.

Sir Alex Ferguson insists his players are as determined as ever

Chelsea head into Tuesday's quarter-final second leg at Old Trafford facing an uphill battle following the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge last week.
Rumours are gathering pace that Carlo Ancelotti will need to secure victory and keep their hopes of winning the competition alive if he is to keep his job, with Abramovich having made clear through his actions that it is the trophy he prizes above all others.
"It does seem to be an obsession with Chelsea to win the European Cup," Ferguson said. "That is why they signed Fernando Torres. The owner has every much nailed his colours to the mast in that respect. I have felt that for quite a while with him.
"To have an obsession of winning the European Cup is stretching yourself a wee bit. At the end of the day it is a very difficult competition to win, but I can understand it because I had the obsession myself for quite a while.
"I lost semi-finals and you say to yourself you are never going to do it. When we achieved it in Barcelona [in 1999], it was the greatest feeling of all time. It took the monkey off my back."
However, he added: "Chelsea are no more desperate than Manchester United, believe me. For any club, when the expectations are high you come to a situation where it is all or nothing.
"People talk about us winning the league but we are desperate to win this game."
Ferguson feels that, while his side secured a fine result in the away leg, Chelsea's familiarity with Old Trafford negates the impact of home advantage.
"A British team coming here is different," he said. "Though Juventus and Milan have played here a few times over the years, Chelsea play here every year.
"In that respect there is a familiarity about it. The stadium, the size of the pitch, the condition of the pitch - all these things are in their favour over other European teams."
Regardless of where the game is played, Ferguson is convinced that his players - having won six games in succession in all competitions - have hit form at the right time and will be extremely difficult to beat.
"Momentum is key," he said. "When you get that momentum it is difficult to knock you off your stride.
"Hopefully that is what will drive our players on. We are at an important time of year in that every game is a cup final now and the players are thriving on that.
"There were probably a lot of games earlier in the season when I might have been hesitant about making the changes I did on Saturday. Having the momentum, whoever comes in is carrying on the fight."

United v Chelsea

United hope to build on a 1-0 lead over Chelsea with a place in the last-four of the Champions League up for grabs...

Form Guide
United moved closer to a record 19th league title with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fulham in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday, extending the Reds' unbeaten run at Old Trafford to 27 games in all competitions. Chelsea also picked up three points at Stamford Bridge, edging past a stubborn Wigan Athletic side thanks to Florent Malouda's second-half strike.

Ins and outs
Sir Alex Ferguson made eight changes against the Cottagers, no doubt with this Champions League quarter-final second leg in mind. Edwin van der Sar, Rio Ferdinand and Rafael could all return to the back-five, while Michael Carrick and Ji-Sung Park are expected to feature in midfield. Wayne Rooney should return after missing Saturday's match through suspension. Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has a full squad at his disposal for the first time this season after Yossi Benayoun and Alex both returned to action against the Latics, though neither is expected to start on Tuesday.

Last meeting
With an emphasis placed on away goals, United made the perfect start in the first leg as Wayne Rooney applied the finishing touch to a fine team-move at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard almost levelled the tie when his shot was cleared off the line by Patrice Evra, who was later relieved to see a strong penalty appeal turned down following a challenge on Ramires.

Top man
Despite enduring one of his least productive campaigns, Didier Drogba's attacking threat remains as potent as ever. Mixing pace with power, Drogba is an intimidating figure (weighing in at

Vidic hails wing duo

Nemanja Vidic is delighted by the return of Antonio Valencia and Ji-sung Park, two players he believes could play a key role in United’s trophy quest.
Both wingers have recently rejoined the fold after substantial periods out of action and Valencia, in particular, has impressed everyone by slotting seamlessly back into the side following his long-term injury.
The Ecuadorian played a starring role in last week’s Champions League first-leg win at Chelsea to earn a glowing tribute from Vidic, who rates him very highly both on and off the field.
"Antonio is so professional," the Reds skipper told ManUtd.com. "He’s somebody everyone can look up to. Look how quickly he’s come back from injury – it’s down to the mentality he has.
"He’s at Carrington from the morning until the afternoon and everything he does is geared towards making him a better player. He’s one of the most important players in our team.
"He showed against Chelsea how versatile he is. We all know how good he is attacking but he showed at Stamford Bridge that he can defend as well.
"He’s strong, powerful, quick, brave… all the attributes you need to play for Manchester United. I haven’t seen him play in goal yet, but I think that maybe if he trains for two or three months he could do it because he works so hard!"

In order to progress, the Blues must achieve something that only Ajax and Inter Milan have managed in Champions League history: overturn a first-leg home defeat. Both of those sides were in the same position as Chelsea - losing 1-0 in the first encounter - with Ajax beating Panathanaikos 3-0 to advance to the 1996 final and Inter beating Bayern Munich to reach this season's quarters
