[h=1]Ramon Calderon: Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United[/h]Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has told TalkSPORT he believes Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United after becoming disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu.
Calderon, the president who made Ronaldo the world's most expensive player when he brought him to Madrid from United, claimed the Portugal captain was disenchanted following the departures of Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria.
"My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president [Florentino Perez]," Calderon told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
"When he came [to Real Madrid] with [Arjen] Robben he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team [Robben was later sold]. Two years ago, it was [Gonzalo] Higuain that was sold, and he didn't like that.
"Last year, he thought it was a mistake to let [Mesut] Ozil leave -- and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria this summer."
Speculation in recent weeks has suggested that United are keen to re-sign Ronaldo, and Calderon said the winger's affection for his old club could yet see him return.
"When I signed him in 2008, I remember he said he was grateful to Manchester United. He had a marvellous time there -- he likes everything. It is a really great club," he said.
Earlier this month, Ronaldo created a stir when he appeared to question Real's summer transfer business.
James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos were among the new arrivals while Alonso and Di Maria -- who Ronaldo had fought to keep at the Bernabeu -- made way, and the Portuguese responded by saying: "If I was in charge, maybe I would not do things like that."
There was further speculation about Ronaldo's future at the club when hetalked up a return to United and Di Maria told the "America & Closs" radio show: "I don't know how long he will stick it out at Madrid."
However, Perez told a news conference that his relationship with Ronaldo was fine, saying: "I know him well. He didn't want to be inconsiderate towards the new players. In addition, he likes them. I have no discrepancies with him."
