Lowassa Vs. Membe - Tanzania's own "Thrilla in Manila"?

Well.. the two camps are absolutely opposed to each other. Only one will emerge the winner and he would be the only one facing any other challenger for CCM Presidential candidacy in 2015. Will this be a full 12 rounds bout? I mean.. will we see the two camps chopping, upper-cutting each other before the CCM national Congress next year or even later towards 2015?

I'm asking myself why the differences between the two camps have become more pronounced and sharp in the past year?

One is the Minister of Foreign Affairs while the other is the Chair of Parliamentary Standing Committee for Security and Foreign Affairs!

Well.. somebody got to lose and somebody got to win - a tie is not an option. BUT what if they destroy each to the point that even the winner doesn't survive the fight! - well.. SOMEBODY ELSE will reap where he/she didn' sow! Thats my friends is politics!

Sina hakika kama Membe ana kambi lakini ninachojua ni kwamba kuna kundi la watanzania wengi wapinga maovu na dhulma, wapenda maadili na kikundi kidogo cha wezi wa mali na rasilimali za umma, wanaoutumia wizi na utajiri huo kujinufaisha. Hawa kamwe hawawezi kushinda vita hivi!

In a presidential contenst, no body can ride on the luck of the incumbent. Not even Membe for he knows that when you assosicate with the incumbency, you carry with you, all what is perceived to be evil. Belieiving that the power of incumbency is all what takes one to win the nomination or even the presidency is as absurd as to think that splashing out ill gotten money is enough to endear one to the voters who very well know how devilish the candidate is. If Membe were to stand, he is man enough to articulate what he intends to stand for and the incumbent will only be an icing in the cake.
