Now days there are have been some websites/forum/social media etc where you register and use your e-mail address as "username",most people do not know once they put their e-mail addresses as username they also use the real password for their e-mail as the password for those website/forum or social media(psychologically they used to do so).
It is not necessary you use your password that you use to access your e-mails but due to most of people having less education on IT security they tender to use the same password when accessing those websites.
Even if you will not use your e-mail password as the password for that website/forum/social media but you have provided a legitimate e-mail address. In security we do not advice to use your office or an e-mail that you use for business to register on website or forums. You can have a free e-mail like yahoo,Gmail or Hotmail, just create one and use it for social networks if you have joined those website not for business purposes.
Ask yourself what e-mail did you use when joining JF?Myself I created a new one, which I do not use for my activities other than on forums and other social media. There are people out there who are selling valid e-mail addresses,we do advice not to reply to e-mail that you do not know the sender.Assume you have received an e-mail from a person/contact you do not know,by replying whether saying "stop sending e-mail to me or unsubscribe" you just proved that there is a person behind that e-mail address and your e-mail will be sold and soon or later you will start receiving junk e-mails.

You will agree with me even here at JF a lot of people have been revealing their e-mail addresses of course they do for a good reason but using the wrong method instead of private messaging the person they post their e-mail addresses on the forum.Possibly other means that can be used to get valid e-mail addresses is "posting a fake job advertisement" where people will be required to applying using e-mail,that is why sometimes you have to check the website for the company advertising the job,get their contact ,call them to ask if there is a vacancy but these can be done with people who are security conscious and love going into details majority are not.
