Nchi hii ni ya maajabu sana, ukipita pale mwenge junction, utakuta kuna kituo cha mqendokasi kila upande kinajengwa.

Kwa utalaam wa ujenzi, unatakiwa kuondoa vitu kama stand au masoko karibu na junction.

Imekuwaje tanroad wameamua kujenga vituo vya mqendo kadi mita chache kutoka junction wakati miaka yote tunaomb serikali ijenge flyover kwenye hiyo junction.


Kwanini wasizigeze umbali ambao hata flyover ikijengwa hawata lazimika kubomoa?


Kwanini hawaja jifunza kilicho tokea kituo cha mwendo kasi ubungo maji?

Kwanini hawaheshimu kodi zetu kuchezewa kiasi hiki.


Kiuhandishi sio salama kituo cha abiria kuwa karibu na junction yenye traffic kubwa kama mwenge kwa sababu hata kusipo kuwepo flyover kita attract traffic kubwa bajaji, pikipiki na daladala kiasi cha kusababisha foleni isiyo ya lazima.

The current construction of rapid transit bus stops at the Mwenge junction raises significant engineering and urban planning concerns. It's truly perplexing to observe these structures being erected on both sides of the junction.

From a fundamental traffic engineering and urban planning perspective, standard practice dictates the removal of ancillary structures like bus stands or markets from critical high-traffic intersections. This is crucial for optimizing traffic flow, enhancing safety, and preventing congestion.
Therefore, the decision by TanRoad to site these rapid transit bus stops merely a few meters from the Mwenge junction is highly questionable. This is particularly puzzling given the long-standing public request for the construction of a flyover at this very intersection – a project that implicitly acknowledges the junction's severe congestion issues.

A critical lapse in long-term infrastructure planning and foresight is evident. Why weren't alternative locations considered further from the junction? Such foresight would prevent the inevitable need for costly demolition should the proposed flyover project materialize. This lack of learning from past incidents, such as the challenges faced with the Ubungo Maji rapid transit bus stop, is concerning.

Furthermore, this seemingly short-sighted planning represents a clear disregard for fiscal responsibility concerning taxpayer funds. The potential for future demolition and reconstruction constitutes an inefficient allocation of public resources.

From an operational safety and traffic management standpoint, placing a high-volume passenger bus stop directly adjacent to a major junction like Mwenge is inherently unsafe. Even in the absence of a flyover, this location will inevitably attract a significant influx of feeder traffic, including Bajajis, motorcycles, and other vehicles, leading to increased congestion, heightened accident risk, and overall operational inefficiency for the entire transport network in the area.
