Pointers to keep in mind before factory reset

As mentioned before, a factory reset will totally wipe off everything from your smartphone. It is an irreversible decision. Therefore, you should be very sure before going for a complete reset.

Here are a few pointers you need to tick off before a factory reset:

  • Make sure you have a VCF backup file for all your contacts. Transfer them to a different device than your phone or sim card.
  • Take a backup of your gallery on your google or apple cloud account to not lose them during the factory reset. If some of the photos are not synched recently, make it a priority to back them up first.
  • If you are a person who makes important notes in the Notes app, back it up to your cloud or copy the information in another device.
