Chelsea FC (The Blues) | Special Thread

“Kepa is very talented,” Zidane said,

Sarri to spend £200m on four players ahead FIFA ban on Chelsea

Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri, will spend more than £200 million in January window following the threat of a two-year transfer ban by FIFA.

The money will be spent on four players.
FIFA had last week recommended the Blues receive a four-window transfer ban following an investigation into them signing under-age foreign players.

The threat will push the Blues to work around the clock in January to bring in a number of targets before the ban hits.
Express Sports reports that Chelsea are ready to go head-to-head with both Manchester United and City to sign 27-year-old £50m-rated Brazilian wing-back Alex Sandro from Juventus.
Sarri is already on the verge of winning the £70m-race to land winger Christian Pulisic, 20, from Borussia Dortmund.

The Italian manager will also pay £50m for 24-year-old right-back, Elseid Hysaj.
The Blues are also looking to invoke a £40m buy-back clause in the deal that took central defender Nathan Ake to Bournemouth.

Sarri: "My idea when I started to decided to dedicate my life to sport, was to have fun and to have fun. When the team follows me and manages to apply my theories, I feel immense satisfaction. And when I see that even players and the public are happy, what more could I ask for?"

Sarri: "My sense of football is this. The results are a logical consequence. It is a fundamental concept in real life: if you work well and with passion, sooner or later you will center your objectives"

Sarri on Spurs: "A difficult challenge, against a smart coach and a team that goes to memory. They'll host Inter 4 days later and will play the last chance of qualification in the Champions League: it is legitimate to expect a lineup influenced in some way by the match on Nov 28"

Sarri: "But I think Tottenham won't make calculations against Chelsea before playing Inter Milan. It will be a real match, as well as a derby"

Maurizio Sarri on Willian:

"Willian is a player of immense quality. His style of play is perfect for England. The Brazilian class mix plus British racing exalts it. Alvaro is a quality, fast and technical guy. He has a great sensitivity and the difficulties had hurt him" #CFC

Sarri: "Often in the analysis of football the statistics are false. I cite an example: between the eleventh player used in Chelsea, Kovacic, and the twelfth, Barkley, there are just a hundred minutes difference. We have found our size and that's okay" #cfc

Sarri: "The results and also the quality of our football is very positive. Eighteen games without defeats, in a competitive league like this shows that we have taken the right path. I'm even happier because we play a lot and the ability to cut deeply is more complex." #cfc
