Matthew, Mark, and John were disciples before his death. Matthew and John were chosen to be apostles, so they spent over 3 years with him.
Mark on the other hand, may have been too young at the time to be selected as an apostle. He records the following incident in his book.
(Mark 14:50-52) 50 And they all abandoned him and fled. 51 However, a certain young man wearing only a fine linen garment over his naked body began to follow him nearby, and they tried to seize him, 52 but he left his linen garment behind and got away naked.
Only Mark records the above, and since like other writers of the Gospels, never named themselves in any events, neither did he. It would show that he must have followed Jesus and the apostles out to the garden, or saw the crowd that was headed there and tagged along.
Mark was a cousin of Barnabas. The house of his mother, Mary, was a meeting place for the apostles after Jesus’ death, so that indicates that both him and his mother were disciples of Jesus.
(Acts 12:12) 12 After he realized this, he went to the house of Mary the mother of John who was called Mark, where quite a few were gathered together and were praying.
Mark went with Barnabas and Paul later on the first missionary trip. for some reason, Mark had to return home. Later he worked again with Paul.

No offence taken my brother its only love and knowldge. Because i am natural man and i am not created i am capable of expresing my inerstandings. As a free thinker i am destined to be misunderstood.
If something perplexes you, it confuses and worries you because you do not understand it. There are two type of people in this world those who are natural and those who are artificial product of adam and eve.

Mungu kwa mwanadamu- huu ni msamaha wa dhambi, uovu na makosa unotolewa na Mungu kwa mwanadam, hata kama mwanadamu akikusamehe
Kwa point yako ni kwamba Yesu alimsamehe mtu yule alopooza kama mtu anomsamehe mwingine alomkosea.
Kama ni ivo basi mtu yule alimkosea Yesu? Jibu ni si kweli.
YESU anawezaje kusamehe dhambi za mtu asomkosea??.
