I have been saying I don't read fiction anymore, for fiction I read biographies.
Now dawg is proving me right, there are autobiographies based on "true story", unlike the gabfests full of fiction.
I give him credit for the idea and courage though, more people should write about their lives, especially people in the public eye.
On reading this, I think I will pass, I can get more from calling the Ruhangisas and the Galinomas, his longtime Mount Vernon buddies, than reading the sanitized version, that is, if I entertain the thought of wasting my time that way, which I won't.
Between my new newly arrived science books (like today, two Aanil Aananthaswamy "Through Two Doors at Once: The Elegant Experiment That Captures the Enigma of Our Quantum Reality" and "The Edge of Physics: A Journey to Earth's Extremes To Unlock The Secrets of The Universe", some James L Kugel volumes on the Hebrew Bible, Tom Burgis' "The Looting Machine:Warlords, Oligarchs, Corporations, Smugglers and the Theft of Africa's Wealth" and a hundrered other interesting volumes ranging from Arctic exploration to Zulu history, I don't think I would have the time to read the preface of William's book if I had fifty lifetimes to do it.
