Hello. I had an issue with my Acer Aspire 7739z-4605 laptop so I backed up all my information on that C drive to the Toshiba Canvio External hard drive I just purchased. I connect my external hard drive via usb to my new computer that I want to import my backed up files onto. However, when I go to my external hard drive on this computer, all I see is a folder with a file called "task_file" .pft with all of the programs and information I backed up from my laptop; and I see a folder called "FL00000000000000000" with files in the format of "archive.001" "archive.002" all the way up to "archive.061" and two more files named "archive.pfp" and "archive.pfi". The size of all these files highlighted is 256GB which is the exact amount of data I backed up from my laptop. But why can't I see my Actual files? Instead I see this "archive" files with an unknown extension.

My backed up files are in this unknown format and obviously not in their original state. Is there a certain program I need to download on my new computer so that these files can be read and opened properly?''

Naomba msaada ktk shida yangu hii, ni kwamba kama wiki moja hivi laptop ya ofisi ikiwa na docs za ofisi ilipata shida ktk windows yake, na kwa bahati mbaya haikuwa na partition. nilichokifanya haraka niliingiza hires boot cd ili niweze kupata access ya docs hizo. hiyo laptop ilichokuwa imefanya mbaya zaidi ni kuficha partition



Lakini na nilipotumia hirens cd niliweza kuiona hiyo partition kwa ku-run recovery built-in program. na kwa kutumia cd hiyo nili-back up ma-folder yote na kuyaweka ktk external usb disk yangu. hapa naomba nieleweke, ni kwamba siku-back up partition bali nili-back up individual folders. nilipomaliza nikaformati laptop hiyo.




Jambo la ajabu yale ma-folder niliyo back up nilipokuja kuyaangalia nikakuta yamebadilika na kuwa archive.pfi, mengine yameandikwa archive.001, archive.002 .... na hayafunguki. nimetumia 7zip,winrar, izaarc bila mafanikio kwani nilifikiri naweza kuyaopen kwa kutumia either 7zip, au winrar. mpaka sasa ofisini kazi zimesimama.

Sina jinsi ya kufanya naomba mnisaidie kujua jinsi ya ku-access mafile haya vinginevyo kizazi changu kinachonitegemea kitapata shida. Msaada tafadhali wanaJF
