Battle: Dar es Salaam vs Nairobi

Bado kazi inachapa,UG here we come 😍
Apparently all transit containers will get shipped to Naivasha ICD. This has interesting benefits for Kenya. When Ugandan importers pays KPA for port services (handling charges) this is essentially a service export (Kenya earning foreign exchange through service payments). So far Kenya earned (depending on size) between $200-300 per transit container in foreign exchange with transit containers being nominated to Naivasha ICD this rises to $800-1000. That means for the 200,000 TEUs going to Uganda Kenya can increase its income from transport services from about $40-50 million to up to $120 million.
