There is definitely mobile banking in Tanzania, it is just not as widespread and efficient as Kenya and he was right to question why you still queue. Even in Kenya, there was considerable time between introduction of mobile banking and complete uptake with new innovations where people no longer have to queue in banks. In fact, currently in Kenya, you are not allowed to pay for any government service in cash. Most people who visit Kenya are impressed.
