Talks with Tierney finally have reached a near conclusion. Deal should’ve been done last week but Pépé signing delayed. Tierney should be a Gunner. #AFC

Think Arsenal will do what they did for Torreira last season. They'll ask us to turn on notifications before announcing Pepe to maximise engagement.

Arsenal have not given up their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha, even though they are set to sign winger Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe, 24, will join the Gunners from Lille for a club record £72million, but they are still keen on Crystal Palace winger Zaha if they can agree a deal that represents good value for both clubs.

Arsenal have already had a £40m bid rejected for Zaha, 26, but Palace are adamant that, with four years remaining on his current contract, he is worth at least £60m.

Everton also had a £55m bid rejected for Zaha, but the player is said to favour a move that means he can remain in London.

Arsenal were already in a strong negotiating position after Zaha’s brother, Judicael, spoke publicly at the beginning of July describing it as his “dream” to join Arsenal and asking Palace to let him leave.

‘Dream to play for Arsenal’

“Wilfried will always hold Crystal Palace and their fans in the highest regard and all the support they have given means the world to him,” Judicael told Sky Sports News. “It is my brother’s dream, though, to play for Arsenal.

“Given all that Wilfried has given to Crystal Palace to help them remain a Premier League club, I hope Palace will be able to see their way to agreeing a deal with Arsenal that allows Wilfried to realise his dream of playing European football for the club he has supported since childhood.”

Arsenal have strengthened their position even further by signing Pepe, Zaha’s Ivory Coast team-mate, one of the brightest forward talents in Europe, and could test Palace’s resolve as the summer transfer window nears its end.

Pepe is expected to finalise a five-year deal this week.

Arsenal's incomings in the transfer window:

Dani Ceballos [loan]
William Saliba [£27m]
Gabriel Martinelli [£6m]

Nicolas Pépé [£72m]
Kieran Tierney [£25m]

Not bad for a £45m budget.

The Gunners are on the verge of announcing a deal for the 24-year-old.
They have also been chasing Zaha throughout the summer, with at least 2 bids rejected.
Now, it is revealed Arsenal want both Ivorians this window.
Palace have decreased their evaluation to just £60 million.
According to iNews, Arsenal are not giving up on a deal for Wilfried Zaha, despite Nicolas Pepe's imminent arrival from Lille.
The report claims that the Gunners want both Ivorians this window to bolster their attacking options and will come back with another offer shortly.

Moreover, Crystal Palace have reportedly decreased their asking price for their star player from £80 million to just £60 million. Arsenal have already seen several bids rejected for the 26-year-old but the new price is much more achievable.
Previously, Everton have had a £55 million bid rejected and could also be back in the race after hearing the latest news.

If we get Zaha and manage to reinforce our defence with at most three big signings, basi no-one will be talking about Lfc and Man-City dominance.
