Malcom really good player. Could be got for less than £40m. Raul Sanllehi has very close ties to his agent. His agent even visited Arsenal training centre last season. One to keep an eye on. #afc

On Tuesday they announced the £6m signing of Gabriel Martinelli, an 18-year-old Brazilian forward who models his game on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Not much is known about the teenager - if you'd like to find out more, click here - but he's highly rated and scored 202 goals in 248 games for Corinthians' youth side.

Also this week, Arsenal lodged an optimistic £40m bid to sign Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha, who is valued at £80m.

According to Goal, Wilfried Zaha remains #Arsenal’s priority this summer as they look to bring in a winger. The club are exploring other options due to the difficulty they face convincing Palace to part with their star man, but Lucas Vazquez is not understood to be on the agenda.


Arsenal, meanwhile, have been offered the chance to sign Malcom for €40m by Barcelona & Goal has learned there is interest in potentially bringing the Brazilian to the Emirates. At the moment, Zaha remains the priority.


Palace want around 80m for Zaha. That fee is beyond #Arsenal’s price range, but there is a belief that a deal could still be done - possibly with players moving to Selhurst Park from the Emirates. Arsenal could offer the likes of Jenkinson, Chambers & Elneny as part of the deal.

ARSENAL TO CHALLENGE MAN UNITED FOR BARCELONA DEFENDER

Arsenal are the latest club to show interest in FC Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti, ahead of the 2019-20 season.

The main stumbling block at the moment appears to be FC Barcelona's asking price of €54m, with Umtiti having four more years left on his contract at the Camp Nou.

United would be willing to pay that, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to rebuild his squad, however the Gunners are reported to only be willing to pay €45m.
