African Satellite World and Sat Gear

Last i had checked this meter was going for kshs 8,000,(85 usd) and currently out of stock

Did Bro Kassych miss a digit? The two figures are separated by a digit. But if for sure it's ksh. 800, then that's a great deal. I also want one

I use the Discovery SF600 which has never failed me. Its about 800 KES in Luthuli View attachment 250875 check it out if you are in Nairobi Area. It does S/S2 scanning and you can have it beep on signal. You can also edit transponder frequencies on it and the battery can give you about 3 hours non stop use which is more than you need if you know the game.

800 is a steal. A real bargain. i wouldnt mind purchasing one

Hi Asas theres lnb called dicovery twin 0.1db, has one ever bought it please give us feed back will appreciate

can you use it as a tv to watch channels pixs and sound on the roof like the other finders

If it was up to me, I'd recommend SatLink ws6918P (which I've used faithfully since 2012) or satlink ws6979hd (which incidentally is featured in the current edition of teleaudiovision magazine which is also the last edition). Prices can readily be confirmed from aliexpress.com

My Sat-link WS-6906 satellite meter crashed last week! So am back to the tried-and-proven old school method of climbing roof with decoder, TV (any size and type will do) and other tracking tools!
On the day shown in the attached picture, some place up-country, there was a power black-out at 5Pm just one minute after I began swinging the dish this way and that way ….…. And power did not return until after midnight! I almost climbed back to the roof to continue at 1Am for fear that power would disappear again the following day ………. Only a couple of thousand sleepless, hungry mosquitoes discouraged me! Just an episode to reveal how useful a Satlink gadget can be ……………

Sure it is FTA-Nash who bricked WS 6906 sat meter.

The most important decision when buying a new TV is which type of display to choose: a plasma, an LED, or an LCD TV. As shown by the pictures below, they all have their advantages. However, most people will prefer an LED TV unless they have a dark viewing environment.

Update: Plasma TVs are now officially dead. Panasonic stopped producing them in 2013. Samsung and LG announced that 2014 will be their last year. The Samsung F8500 will therefore be the last great plasma TV ever produced.

LCD

We removed LCD TVs from the comparison because they are obsolete and practically the same as LED TVs. As explained here, the only difference is that an LCD TV has a different light source behind the screen. The picture quality of an LCD TV is the same as an LED TV.

LEDs, while basically the same thing as LCDs, are the biggest sellers. Their picture quality is not as good as plasma TVs, but good enough for almost everyone. They also offer greater practicability and they can get a lot brighter. The majority of people should opt for an LED TV, and especially if the TV will be located in a living room with a lot of windows.

Plasma TVs have the best picture quality hands down, and are also cheaper. However, they are not very bright, so they are only suitable for dark rooms. They suffer from occasional but not permanent image retention and have a slight buzzing noise on bright pictures. Go for a plasma TV if you want no compromise on the picture quality and if you will not have a heart attack each time an image is retained for more than two minutes.

To help you compare, the following table shows the major differences between a plasma and an LED television. Each difference is explained in greater detail in the next pages of this article.
