Did you say 90cms?
Dawa ya UG MUX ni nini Bwana Mirjangi. How come wengine wenu mnaipata ilhali wengine wetu hatuipati hata despite having the best of sat-equipment?

Honesty I don't like this SELECTIVE RECEPTION.
Waweza kupigwa na butwaa but that's my predicament even with several medals up my sleeve.

Ug mux is quite baffling and I'm not alone here.

Shukran

Shukran Boss! T I it is. Now we must be educated as if we were two-year olds.

Agenda number one: naenda kununua Sare za shule.

yes it is true TI is affecting the reception. I have a communication mast abt 100mts from my house and nss12 is facing it. kesho nachimbia shimo dish yangu and will RPT back on progress.

Just a little from my archives;

WiFi INTERFERENCE.
One of the test to determine if WiFi, or WiMax is affecting a specific installation is to move your dish onto another satellite. Example if Intelsat 7/10 c band is being affected move your dish onto Thaicom 5 and if reception is normal then move it back and see what the result is. In some cases the interference just affects certain transponders.

WiFi, or WiMax often enters from an off-axis angle, through a dish side lobe and can be most annoying and detrimental to signal quality even when the dish is not aimed directly at the TERRESTRIAL INTERFERENCE [TI] source.
Avoidance is the best method to deal with TI. Positioning the dish using natural shields to block incoming TI is an excellent method of combating TI. In general, the higher you place a dish the more chance there will be of encounters of noise - noise of all types; and the more you shield a dish, i.e. install next to structures, the greater the chance you will be protected from noise (exception being metal structures that reflect heat and structures that absorb heat then radiate it out at night - concrete; because heat begets thermal noise).

I always like to install the dish up against something - a fence, grove of trees (shrubs), wall, etc - to avoid back incursion of noise into the dish. Anytime you can put a tree or wooden object (fence) between the TI source and the dish you will block TI. Microwave transmissions will not pass through wood products, trees, etc. (Remember, microwaves will pass through a tree if it loses its leaves and trees will grow.) Positioning the dish behind houses, buildings, etc., will also block TI however note that such structures will also reflect TI and could be the source themselves.

Unfortunately the images won't attach as it's a word document.

Hi, if there is any elusive and tricky satellite then it is Badr 4/5/6 at 26 deg East and mostly MyHD channels. All the the channels disappears at 11am only to resurface at midnight. I use 8 ft prime focus but it is real stress given that it has very nice documentaries. FlySat Badr-4/5/6 @ 26° East. Who can help ? Initially it was okey but I don't know what happened. I have skewed, screwed etc to stabilize the signal all in vain.
