Thanks for the insight dejumbo..Just had a close look at this and it seems like we in East Africa stand to lose with this on going .
migration.

Actually the first image you have posted is the European Beam A foot print.. the one we are usually concerned with European Beam B. ( the one that has Digi*****)

This is the new foot print of European beam B from Eutelsat 7B

AS you can see the edges of the foot print are further up in North Africa.

Compare this and the current European B foot print from Eutelsat 7A

So in summary it appears that we may soon lose the goodies from Digi***, unless we acquire bigger dishes.

@msondaa I think they would decommission 7A..
I'm saying this because the foot prints of the 2 sats are rather similar.

Compare the 2 downlink Europe B beams of Eutelsat 7A @ 7° East and the new Eutelsat 7B @ 7° East.
If DigiTurk migrates to the new satellite, it will be a challange to get the package.
The "lobe" that has been extending downwards up to northern Kenya is absent in the new beam.
Let's wait and see.

Yeah. The FTA prophets foretold this twice earlier this year. The prophecy is coming true ..... Let me figure out where to point my 130Cm Offset dish next! ....... with tears rolling down my cheeks .....
Someone by the name dejumbo got a new 180Cm offset recently ...... no pain, there are plenty of other sats to utilise that Big Beautiful Dish too!

Did you mention in an earlier post that you use a 240Cm Prime focus for the D***t**k package? No problem. Can still be useful on other Sats too ..... Talk of multi-LNB set-ups .......

Eutelsat 7A still got four years to serve its life span. lets hope migration will not be soon.

@ Dejumbo , can't do a factory reset too coz it is locked. I told the guy to keep trying different numbers procedurally

Pole @ permie am just seeing this now (just registered into this forum today). The popcorn method works. But I realized some time ago the factory reset pass for Astrovox is often 0000. Did you try that for factory reset?

And by the way talking about Astrovox, the 8080Hd required that you press the page down button four times in settings to get the biss table: How ever do you get to the table on the 8900. Someone said to press the red button in settings but all that seems to do is to activate or deactivate patch. How do you call the biss table on Astrovox 8900HD?
