Finally managed to update My Humax IR3000HD's Firmware after a long wait. Anyone else with that Problem, I'd be glad to assist

What feature did you get/improve on with that firmware update?

Somewhere in this very forum cannot remember where a member talked of an old model decoder technosat or technomate which one can use to search for satellites without a meter please assist

Technosat T-888 silver. soon as you start getting some quality signal, it beeps like crazy. trick is you set volume on your tv to maximum(high) and adjust the volume on the technosat high too. that combination will never fail you.

Thanks techdee for the info now the next move is looking for it hahahaaaa, it might be a bit hectic though or is there any other model that can work as well

shouldn't be hard to get at all. i was at spikes on luthuli last week and a dude walked in and asked for one of them. or was that you? he got it. didn't listen in to know price though.

I need srt4950 mini where can I get at the best price?

Bro, this is not relevant to your post but i just had to look up your location. And i thought i knew all of the villages in kenya.

Currently in Nairobi sorry I didn't give my location

You gave your location al-right, in your profile info. Just use the courier services. speak to the vendor and arrange payment etc. do not let distance put you off. it will still work out cheaper than the extortionist prices in nairobery.probably

16e Canal Parabola

How I wish you guyz could surely pick this bed beam of Canal Parabole and Canal Reunion, your ASAS could be treated for good.

Can't just get enough

lyngsat sez they are all scrambled!:confused2: you know different? guest channels etc?

POLITE NOTICE!!!
For those who stays, visits or plans to visit South
Africa
and in return you decide to buy an Explorer DSTV
decoder there because of price of which here in Kenya
goes @28k and SA is approximately 15k.
We kindly advise you not to buy from there because
those receivers are not registered on our platform and
can not work here in Kenya or in eastern Africa of
which
we normally use W7 and their's are registered on is20.
Even though it's the same company multichoise they
don't work in some regions same as we don't access
to
some channels and like ppl from S.A.
Most of our clients have been having same issue and
there's nothing DSTV Kenya can do to help in such
situations you'll just end up wasting your money.

all the more reason to leave them proprietary things alone.

That one is truly back from the dead! :hail:you bricked it then binned it. tough cookie, that one:biggrin1:

Can someone please assist me on setting yahsat 1A@52.5 with 6ft dish and if it is possible by posting a photo. My location Biharamulo Kagera Tanzania.

I got me a problem. I have serious signal issues. One moment i am watching a channel with a 90% signal quality, the next moment i get that annoying 'no signal' banner. A quick look through all channels indicate all red. I try this on the strong and the fluctuation of signal is apparent too. I suspected the diseqc switch and bought a new Eurostar but the problem still persists. It is worse on the Humax. I have to switch it off for a minute then on and the pictures come on; sometimes for a minute, 5mins or even 1hr. Change channel and the no signal sign appears.....and the cycle continues... I need urgent help.

I once sent an email to the OVHD to inquire about the decoders price pretending not to know the terms of sales and this is the reply i got from them.
What do you think members can we make the list and send it to them and see if they will do anything about it?

If the problem is with all sats, then try and change the cable from decoder to switch

Guilty as charged.
Now how long does it take to ''import'' one decoder? In Nairobbery it costs 16K fully activated, whats your price?
And is it negotiable?
