African Satellite World and Sat Gear

This morning I was shocked at the wastage of 1.8 pf dishes I saw on a certain roof. It made me sick to see those dishes left to rust yet there are ASAS victims on this forum who would go at great lengths to acquire them.

People believe "hizo ni dish za kitambo, za dstv. siku hizi nunua dish ndogo. Hizo kubwa hazitumiki tena".:der:
I went to some old house and saw a dish(black mesh type,Mexican) that was properly mounted on the ground. complete with its US C-band lnd. Made me cry. The original owner had since moved and had a manager in the house(farm house). every one kept away from it, like it was infected with something. someone courageous enough had pinched most of the cable though. i only had about 3M to work with. i hanged my trusty VSR-9000hd on his window and used the A/V cabled to bridge the rest of the gap, to his properly kitted samsung hdtv. That thing is 40" at least! but is permanently connected to his dvd player for their teenage girl. he confessed that he bought at least 50 of those 50bob dvd's every week for her, most of which never get watched anyway.
to cut a long story short, the thing yielded only V or was it H transponders after a blind scan. it was still pointed to 68.5E!
i have not yet been invited back there to mount a 90cm dish, which he preferred, and i was gonna do a deal on the mesh. pichas soon, i promise metsa label.jpg c-band lnb.jpg c-band lnb2.jpg cut cable.jpg metsa keeper.jpg metsa dish.jpg metsa dish1.jpg do not be fooled.jpg metsa dish mount.jpg metsa deterrent.jpg
