Can I nab nilesat with a 1.8m with perfect aligning using a KU lnb?..tried n nabbd arabsat 1a

Actually, it is really quite easy....like seriously easy. First, you go to settings (that purple button written BeIN:loco🙂, then go to installation, password is 0000, search channels, there is a place written transponder..click on it, then go to user define, enter the transponder number 11512 (this will give you aljazeera, QTV and MBCs), or just 11470, then polarisation, vertical, symbol rate 27500, transmission DVB, Modulation, QP5K, and FEC on Auto...save, then search, and save...then voila!!:humble:you will thank me later

Actually u did not get me. I know how to do all that and i did all that. My signal reads 0% for that tp yet i can receive the bein channels with 70%. Am using 6ft, prime focus lnb in Nairobi. Decoder is humax hd free. Should i change to another lnb? Which one?

I bought this inverto black pro hoping to nab the elusive MBC bouquette on 8w here at the coast; but the results were disappointing. It even performed poorly than the Stargold fuji. Still pondering on the next move. Could there be anyone at the coast receiving 8w on a 6' dish?

Yes crackling though until after 9-10pm..... Use TP Aljazeera America its the most stable... and I lost every other !!!! Nilesat etc

It was not that easy to get both 7w and 8w on my1.8 pf dish. I had to make several trips on the rooftop and figured the secret. You will need to move your dish slightly up (1mm) while standing behind it. This requires lots of patience and good balancing act for one to achieve the best results.
Thanks Msondaa for your help.
Majay, which LNB and receiver are you using? I can receive the MBC signal @ 78% on srt 4950h but cracking; Aljazeera is slightly stronger.

Is this decoder HD? What version DiSEqC is it, can it handle more than 4 dishes? In you own opinion is it a good reliable decoder that can satisfy our demanding ASAS needs? What about sw upgrades?

Vipi Techdee, always nice to hear your input Bro. Now the said zuku decoder is dvbs-2 mpeg-4 true hd decoder. I said TRUE HIGH DEFINITION complete with an HDMI port. And its fully FTA too. The downside of course is the simplicity in features but this is to be expected in any pay tv-linked decoder. For instance, you can only input 4 ports diseqc 1.0. Walakini Software upgrade via OTA only. Good enough, newbies can make do with it. And for satelite technicians, if you are witful enough, then read a BUSINESS IDEA into it. Have a thoughful day wont you?

LoL!
When hunting down 7.0W + 7.3W +8.0W combination on one dish on a cloudy April day, your ASAS symptoms can only graduate from category "stable" to "acute"!

Following disappearance of the MBCs on 7.3W, am going back to the roof after a 4 month break. I was lastly seen up there on 12[SUP]th[/SUP] December, when I tried a feat to combine 7.3W with 7.0E and 5.0E [see link to the post: https://www.jamiiforums.com/tech-gadgets-and-science-forum/388522-african-satellite-world-and-sat-gear-163.html#post8104728].

During those days, I sacrificed my the news channels on Nile201 (7.0W) but salvaged them from the 7E goodies (European beam). In addition, I lost my beloved Dubai-One too, which I compensated by fixing a 90Cm on Yahsat-1. Now I get it in glorious HD!

Well, the MBCs are gone! It time to dust off the tracking gadgets and tweak the 7.3W LNB on the above setup, at least to ‘stream-in’ the 8W. By the way, I had noticed in 2012 that even a 65Cm dish could track the 8W; then later the beam became weaker.

FTA is all about chasing elusive channels jumping from one bird to the next, forever. Just like a member has hinted / prophesied, the days of free goodies on 7E are almost over ………. I can smell the coffee too!
We will just climb the roof-tops and redirect our Big Ugly Dishes ……!

Hi FTA NASH

You make me happy, asas in you developed from stable to a cute, I myself remember a time when i was combining 5e to 8w then a guy pope up that he was in the neighbourhood and wanted to watch a match, of EPL Man City and liverpool, on my Q he kept on watching me as i tried to maximize on the signal my asas was critical, he had to wait longer.

Hi FTA Nash,

how a bout the 240 cm dish you contracted jua kali welding engineers to make for you , what happened, or was it not you.

Hi guys i watched a documentary on iran asas who have defied strict goverment restriction on viewing what it thinks unsuitable. Juakali guys buy sheets of metal and using juakali machine makes huge dish they assemble them n connect to illicit acquired recievers to watch whatever they wish. I wish here in kenya an asas would invent such a tool and make us dish sizes we request.

I will align it to resemble an offset dish..n c if it works then I will let u know..thanx I'm in umoja 2 Nairobi.

Actually that ambitious project was mine SAT2. Due to heavy commitments at work i have not fast tracked the process however i will resume the quest and report to the ASAS guys.
