Actually that ambitious project was mine SAT2. Due to heavy commitments at work i have not fast tracked the process however i will resume the quest and report to the ASAS guys.

Had the same thoughts running in my head.....making a good 3M onwards dish with sheet metal will give you all the goodies starting with HOT BIRD....we should all knockheads n see the eventuality 🙂

I think the more one is near the equator, the more it is easier to get also. location kabarnet (r valley )

What do u guyz think abt card sharing? Av had my fair share of problems with them even with stable internet connection. I'd rather depend on FTA and keep hunting elusive birds in the sky for free content.

TP 3738 V 10115 is very clear ... Startimes nigeria ESTar and Nigerzie and WAP TV Nigeria..... However our Kenya Mux I'm unable to lock onto with my 6ft dish...
Any users comment ? Qimeu ?

On 8W aljazeera America Viewable right now allabit with crackling but MBCs not viewable heavy crackling on my setup and location...... I'll try to tweak some more...

Actually u did not get me. I know how to do all that and i did all that. My signal reads 0% for that tp yet i can receive the bein channels with 70%. Am using 6ft, prime focus lnb in Nairobi. Decoder is humax hd free. Should i change to another lnb? Which one?

Well, my dish is that size, is your dish on 8W? before changing the lnb, I think you should ensure that it is on 8w, but LNB poa ni Goldstar, Fuji

Did anyone manage to combine 7w and 8w succesfully today?
I recently did an fta installation to a silent member of this forum which went well until the owner delivered a shocker. Imagine a Decoder + LNB + 90cm dish + 2 F type connectors + a length of coaxial cable for only Ksh3000 everything brand new out of a box. At first I thought he was joking but its as serious as it gets. Aparently he sent someone into somalia to buy the stuff, are we being conned and hustled in Luthuli? So I asked him to enquire about some HD decoders and a 130cm offset but no info yet.

Guys this could be our chance to buy cheap ASAS goods if we send his guy who I understand is a frequent visitor to Somalia.

am an able to nab kenyan mux...becoz i also have 6ft dish and my location is voi.
Which strongest and stable frq are you using to nab 10.0'E then i try to max it in order to nab kenyan mux in the evening?

I was on my roof today n played both parts..my 1.8m dish was trying to nab intelsat 906 later I tried nabbin eutelsat 8w to which I failed both ways..with the 1.8m results was only 1tp had green which gave me 3 channels which were all scrambled..the other tps were still red..with the 90cm..how am I supposed to move it..I had read once from the forum that eutelsat is below nilesat by 5mm n still got no signal..really mbc are dope!some one help.

Aaah, now I see. Well, the Lnb is between 1500-2500(downtown luthuli) around Riwara Electronics but nowadays wanaongeza bei sana, the neighbouring shops have them. But even before you get there, the problem lies in the 7w. Its either you strike the 1 mm balance between the 7W and 8w, or sacrifice one for the other. or simply buy another dish :thinking:, or you can mechanise the arm of your dish and add the LNb. Personally, my beIN decoder came married with the card, I do those annual payments and voila, HD EPL, na sasa wameniambia ati 4K WorldCup:redface:,

mtuko2 is right the receiver I installed was an MPEG2 DiSEqC 1.0 receiver and its no use buying a DVBS receiver nowadays even if it is cheap.. Apart from that everything else was fine. shem02 when I get a good price on a HD receiver I will alert you or if you want the DVBS receiver just tell me.

rejimeny jey is also right, the guys at Luthuli are extorting us.

By the way has anyone received or bought an Open View Receiver from South Africa lately?
