Hi Mutash and Forum members
Greetings on this new year ,some quick questions i need assistance

1. Have upgraded my srt 4950h with the v2.28 patch ,but i cant get the patch menu so i cant edit biss keys,what am i misssing? do you have a step by step manual for this srt

2. I have a dlink usb wifi dongle but the 4950h cant see it on any of the usb ports
the dlink has only a cd with windows drivers . any ideas?

Greetings comrade, Press F1 then 6969 to activate the Patch menu. It will then briefly display on the screen PATCH Enabled. Now check your menu and you'll see patch menu. I went through the keys and the 4950H can access Digiturk channels on 7E (from information i read on the patch key)
If you want to access CCCAM and other stuff press F1 8281, you'll see lots of settings which i don't understand.

Managed to connect it to a safaricom modem and i could access Youtube etc. The IPTV could not go through.Something about expiry. As stated on this forum, disable the password on the modem, adjust settings on the network settings. You don't need a wireless adaptor, just your ordinary modem.

First things first piare. There are some settings you will have to make:
-Go to dish settings (depends with decoder mine is srt4922) or lnb settings, choose lnb type as universal and leave everything else here the way it is, exit with save.
-Confirm that you have connected the coaxial cable to the 'LNB IN' and not loop out section.
-Confirm that the coaxial cable is well connected to the LNB .
-If the dish is exactly aligned to the satellite now go to 'INSTALLATION ' and Select BLIND SCAN or look for BLIND SCAN and do this scan.

Note: -Signal quality matters more than strength.
-A simple sat finder will help you easily lock on a satellite.
OK if still you cannot hit green, how about approaching the neighbour and request to connect your decoder in place of theirs so that you can scan the aligned sat. Then you could use the scanned frequencies/channels to search on your dish/decoder.
I believe others with similar decoder and or lnbf will help.

Holycow,thanks for the feedback.will try this and revert. For the internet access i have a wifi network within the house that am paying for so i wanted to connect a usb wifi dongle to the 4950h and use that to access the wifi network .i dont want to pay for another internet channel. any progress on the 7e european beam?

I am currently only get the tps on Africa beam .if i understand Holycow well he mean you will find the Biss keys for digiturk already enabled /inserted in the patch menu . I also saw a number like viacess, I am now looking for nagra1 keys to enable me watch the mbc channels etc

Hi can any one help with a step by step guide to active/enable patch on SRT 4930L. I have tried all I could but cant figure this one out. Does any on e know whether some 4930L receivers cannot be patched?

Mbc3 and co at 7e are now back

I have seen many posts not just here but on other forums as well about MBC3 at 7E, but lyngsat and flysat only shows MBC 1 and MBC2 on that sat. On my system they scan in as Rodrigues 1 and Rodrigues 2 but when opened they are clearly written MBC 1 and MBC2. Where does MBC3 come from? Am I missing something?
