Thank you very muchWelcome aboard sir.If you were in Kenya with a 3 ft I would advise you to try 7w,52.5e and 57e.but am not sure if they can be accessed from that location.Maybe ASAS enthusiasts from that area of Tz can enlighten us on this.To be very honest a 3ft does not offer too many FTA options, and it depends on your interests e.g if you like documentaries, news, sports, kids channels and so on.If you were into gospel maybe 68e would be your cup of tea.All these are KU band so i hope you have an inverto black ultra for optimal performance. For C-band you can get scraps if you use a conical scalar but you should mainly forget about it with that dish size-which is a pity because all the FTA juicy things are on c-band.Of course if you can get a little bit more space(just one more foot) you can expand your options by getting a 130cm.For decoder you can start with a freesat v7 since it has the best software support before going for others like startsat.
Thank you very much for such assistance. I think i really need to upgrade to 6ft dish in the future for C-band channels. But for the moment i have to stick to 3ft dish because the space is truly limited. If i go for 130cm dish, will that help accessing more satellites?Welcome aboard sir.If you were in Kenya with a 3 ft I would advise you to try 7w,52.5e and 57e.but am not sure if they can be accessed from that location.Maybe ASAS enthusiasts from that area of Tz can enlighten us on this.To be very honest a 3ft does not offer too many FTA options, and it depends on your interests e.g if you like documentaries, news, sports, kids channels and so on.If you were into gospel maybe 68e would be your cup of tea.All these are KU band so i hope you have an inverto black ultra for optimal performance.
You are welcome .Basically the bigger the dish, the more channels you will receive, assuming you have set it up properly (after working on azimuth, skew and verticalness) .And the further you go from the equator, the more you are likely to need a bigger dish for better reception.Like i mentioned, the inverto ultra black lnb is the gold standard(at least in our region) when it comes to ku-band reception.Thank you very much

Right now my interest is not local channels. So i will take any foreign channels i can get from news, movies and documentaries and i will move on from there. When looking for ku-band lnb, is there a particular good brand i should be looking for?
