Why Bongo Flava is popular in Kenya

Why Bongo Flava is popular in Kenya

nimeskiza bongo flava tangia kitambo, huwa nakua na nosstalgia nikiskiza akina Crazy GK, Mnyalu, Gangwe Mob, daz nundaz domo kaya especially ukiwapata kwenye guitar na vocals za kichizi, Mwana FA, solo thang, afande sele, msela wangu Jay mo (more technics, more flava), feroz na msupa Rah P.. mimi ni die hard hiphop head, bongo flava ime maintain culture kabisa, they have a style of their own which has been inherited quite well with the youngins.. hapa nawapa pongezi kabisa for all those happy moments and memories brought by their creative skills. Kenya will never be on the same skill levels as their Tanzanian neighbours, from production to execution by the artists. Joe makini, Fid Q, Nikki mbishi, marehemu Langa, chidi benz huwezi linganisha na hiphop artist wowote East Africa, hawa watu wako juu manze. NAWAFAGILIA SANAAA KWA HILI

brother smatta forget about those legends,we have lots of new kids in hiphop scene.the one and most illest is stamina.huyu dogo ni hatari kwa michano ya kiswahili na nina hakika atafika mbali.long leave bongofleva.

watch him here.

Dude, this song, Haiya by Harry Kimani, was done before Diamond got out of lower primary school, before he even knew he was going to be a musician. You're tarnishing Diamond's name by insinuating that he copied Harry Kimani's style. I would love to put it as Diamond getting inspired by harry Kimani than copying since.

It's very to explain to these guys, jameni Kenyan music has way too many genres and Bongo flava can only compete with one.

This is the mere truth, anyone who is going to be against this will be a liar!

kumbuka tumewafundisha mziki!

I am shocked yaani kumbe Tanzania ndio imetufundisha mziki. Wow! congrats for teaching ou Luo to play Benga music which derives from the traditional music of the nyatiti.

You taught our Maasai to chant polyphonic rhythms, Borana to play chamonge guitar, Swahili to do chakacha dances. Aha! also taught our Kambas how to play their complex percussion music and spectacular performances. Mhhh!! you gave our Gusii a discource on how to use obokano and the ground bow.

Ohh! almost forgot, you taught our Eastlands youths to play "Genge" genre, Aha!! you helped us discover "Kapuka" genre.
I can go on and on praising you for teaching us to play the so many genres in our country, while you stuck to only one style.

Deliberately you want to evade the topic, we are not taking about traditional dance or music, simply we are talking about morden music within East Africa n maybe beyon

I don't see any morden music there that is doing wonders in east Africa now or to be more precise bongoflever kind of music

The topic was about you teaching us music, am still waiting to hear when and how. We have been singing since inception of time and are still singing. And if Bongo flavo is to compete with Kenya, then it can only compete with just one of our genre. You guys don't have variety, you're so used to be bandied into one social order. Look at your politics, one party, one language ever since independence.

In Kenya, we dare to taste and test, we dare to sample varieties. We sing so many genres, we speak lots of languages, our indigenous ones like Kikamba, Kiluhya etc, also do speak foreign languages like Kiswahili and English. We have also had many parties into power not being whipped by one party forever. Tanzanians you still have a long way to understand our way of life.

Ooh if that is what you think or is your perception towards Tanzania, then sorry bra you jus don't know what you are talking about, serious you don know take your time and go through the pages again! Have you ever been to Tanzania? I have worked and lived in Kenya
When am talking about Kenya I know what am talking about that's where we differ

You aren't explaining anything. Explain something. Telling him that he doesn't know anything about Tz and that you've lived in Kenya doesn't dispute what he said earlier.

I hate repetitions that's why I didn't want to explain! Simply his experience about Tanzania n my experience about Kenya are two different things only because he never been to Tanzania while I have been to Kenya n worked there

Tanzania kuna more than 100 languages.
Waliosema Babylon tower ilikuwa middle east walikosea, Babylon tower ilikuwa Kenya!

Man! probably I've been to so many places in Tanzania than you. Nimetembelea mikoa mingi sana ya Tanzania, nina uhakika lazima hata kuna sehemu nimeingia kwenye hata wewe hujaota kuenda. Anyway back to the topic, can you refute any of the claims, that
- You've been ruled by one party since independence
- Majority of you speak only one language, there are so many Tanzanian youths who can't speak their own mother-tongue, eti ni ushamba kuongea kilugha, wengine wanasema eti ni utumwa kuongea Kingereza, mumejaa vijisababu kwa ajili ya mapungufu yenu. Na hata pamoja na kuongea lugha moja, bado asilimia 60% mnapiga division zero. Hamna ujanja wa kujua na kuongea lugha nyingi.
- You've all been packaged into one musical genre, vijana wamejazana kwenye Bongo flava na milegezo. Diamond akinyoa style moja ya nywele, vijana wote wanamwagika kwa hiyo moja. Magazeti yenu kila asubuhi ni taarifa za Diamond na Wema, kana kwamba hamna wasanii wengine nchi yote.

kadoda11 nakuita huku usipite kimya.

You don't explain anything. You keep on repeating nothing - kama huna hoja nyamaza.
