I am going back in times...back to 1992 after Zanzibar declaration and later on Vyama vingi... And then mkutano Mkuu wa CCM 1995 which picked Benjamin Mkapa as CCM candidate...

Who did what?

Who wrote the master plot that fooled the genius himself and opened the doors of chaos and power struggles that we are seeing today?

Lakini mwisho wa siku utukufu uliokuwa unamzunguka Nyerere ulimpofusha macho na kushindwa kuona waliomzunguka walikuwa ni nani. Alipotoka Madarakani ndipo alipowaona sura na rangi zao. Ndipo akajikuta kuwa hakuwa amemuandaa mtu kuliongoza taifa kuelekea mbele; wote ambao wamekuja kushika madaraka baadaye hakuna hata mmoja aliyesimamia katika misingi ya Nyerere; wamebakia kushabikia jina tu.

this is the JF i used to love, it was a class plus one... critical thinking, in depth analyses and proper facts with challenges etc.

I am no politician nor historian, but a few readings and references tell me that Nyerere played too smart a$$ he ended up rounding himself; and he realised it before he died but he was powerless to do anything... so they silenced him successfully and permanently

lazima tujue kwamba Nyerere alikuwa tayari sio threat tena kwenye mind za watu.........sababu kubwa walishamjua kwa undani kabisa anataka nini na wafanyenje ili kumshika pabaya. it was just a play ambayo hata yy mwenyewe alijua atashinda.

We have been misled and misdirected for the last 10 years! The campaign to destabilize Tanzania started before Mwinyi's term was done and massive facilitation of the strategy happened there after and later on, fingers are being pointed to a weakly ------...

Who were the people behind Mkapa accension to power?

Why did Mwalimu played a wrong hand with Mizengwe and toss Msuya who was the heir apparent after Mwinyi under false premise of taming Kikwete and allow Mkapa to become the humble no name to become the president?

Was Kikwete awarded the presidence to silence him and a reward for his loyalty that has turned him blind, deaf and basically ineffective?

In 10 years of Mkapa, the formal execution of trade liberalisation took place where literaly all mashirikaz were sold, sold for pennies and there was massive campain to privatise everything and the greatest Changa la macho we got from Mr. Uwazi bin Clean was Paris Club writting off our debts and the so called surplus that now Kikwete has squandered!

No one asks when EPA really happened despite the fact the benefactor was the current President, the death of industrialization and uzawa movement in exchange of massive FDI programs that brought us Barrick, IPTL and other "foreign investments" program under TIC!

No one remembers that Abdallah Kigoda was then Waziri wa Viwanda and came about from finance I believe and he was being prepared to become heir apparent until Sitta, Kikwete and Lowassa flexed their muscles and what they were left with is fighting each other for power!

As we remember Nyerere, we need to come out of our comfort zone and ask each other the hard questions, starting with Msuya's speech conceeding nomination 1995...who played and fooled Nyerere the master of politics, the genius who led us through throngs of so many ill elements?

When he passed away in London, were the tears shed by these crooks genuine or were there to appease Watanzania?

Sadly Kikwete will fall into his own sword for being a weak president to act who all ills are pointed to him and all he could do best is play diplomacy within his party and shrug his shoulders!

Nobody fooled Mwalimu but his own greedy, his own ego, Mwalimu ng'atukad but wanted to continue as a president behind the curtains and this is what brought misunderstanding with Mwinyi
