Hello JF,

75% of Tanzanians depends on Agriculture and most of these people live in rural area, it makes sense if the government wants to invest then Rural areas should be one area of focus.

One way of achieving this is to educate Tural Youth. These people know well their 'environment' yet Higher Agriculture institutions tend to ignore this group/rural youth

By placing higher academic entrance qualifications which put rural youth at disadvantage since Poverty in villages causes bright students not to have access to quality education/poorer education standards...(Najua siku hizi kuna elimu bure)

So measuring urban youth and rural youth in the same scale is wrong. Anyway what I am thinking is We are wasting resources educating urban Agriculture students..LOL. These people prefer/want white collar jobs,LOL (mkinipopoa nakimbia)

In admissions, Agriculture institutions should aim to take more students from the village in which the institution is build and less 'urban students' LOL since Agriculture is more 'practical subject' and not just theories...

Student from villages have more chances of 'practising' and therefore better education outcomes than urban students sasa mtalima nini? lami? lol...

Kuna Raia wa SA yupo Zanzibar,anafanya kilimo Cha mboga mboga,ili kukidhi soko la mahotel ya kitalii zenj.Maana Mboga mboga kutoka Dar hazikidhi soko kwa mwaka mzima,anajenga ghorofa kwa ajiri ya hicho kilimo.
Mosanto,hii ni kampuni ya pembejeo duniani,je na wao ni wa "kijijini".?

Kama Bado mnamawazo ya kuhusisha kilimo na ufukara,na jembe la mkono,Basi mnasafari ndeefu.
Kilimo ni mgodi uliolala,ni sekta ngumu Kama huna mtaji,lakini Kuna potential kubwa,Miundombinu ikiwepo.
Wasomi wetu wanataka wafungue,kaflemu auze smart phone,chaja,awe fundi simu,computer,anawawekea watu apps za Instagram,nk.

Hata Kama unapenda IT,hicho kiwango kidogo sana. Hapa bongo kazi za IT,kwenye makampuni Mengi,mabenk,zinafanywa na watu kutoka ASIA,wanakuja hapa Kama ma expert,

Sijui hayo mambo ya IT umeyatoa wapi,ila tu ningependa kukuambia mtu anayesoma mambo ya Agriculture anaweza ku combine na masomo mengine kama IT,mbona ulivyokuwa O-Level ulisoma masomo mengi...kwa hio sijaona hoja yako ikiwa nzito...

Njoo na facts..acha mihemuko..nimekwambia 70% of Tanzania people wanaishi vijijini incase huelewi hii mada...watu 7 kati ya 10 wanaishi vijijini, na sisi kama nchi tunategemea kilimo(80%),sasa wewe utainvest wapi??kwenye watu wengi 7 kati ya kumi au 3 iliyobaki kati ya 10
