Almost everyone has an Apple product in their homes these days. Whether it’s an iPhone, a Macbook, or even a pair of Airpods, the brand that we first knew as Macintosh has become one of the world’s biggest and most successful corporations. And a lot of that success is attributed to Steve Jobs.

What a lot of people don’t know is he was a real jerk to his family, he’s a tough guy to like once you learn more about him. There’s a great movie about Jobs called Steve Jobs, that discusses some of this. Seth Rogen is even in the film playing Steve Wozniak!

Steve Jobs, on top of being undeserving for all the accolades he’s given, was a notoriously bad father. Is that too harsh? Let’s backtrack. Steve Jobs was a good marketer, with some fun design ideas, who capitalized on the ideas of Steve Wozniak and other Macintosh engineers to help grow the company that would become the Apple conglomerate we know today. However, he was a jerk the entire time, especially to his daughter.

In her memoir, Jobs’ daughter Lisa comments that he initially denied paternity and refused to pay child support, before running a complicated financial scam to deny her birth mother her allotted portion of Apple’s profits.
