Tottenham Hotspur Plan To Start £40m Spree With Bids For Manchester United's Michael Carrick & Manchester City's Craig Bellamy - Report
May 7, 2010 11:58:00 AM
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp will be handed a £40 million transfer kitty to spend this summer, according to a report from The Daily Star, as he looks to boost his squad ahead of the club's foray into next season's Champions League.
The report claims that he will begin his spending with a move for Manchester United's Michael Carrick, a man whose Old Trafford future seems to have become uncertain in recent weeks
Redknapp is also apparently set to pounce for Manchester City forward Craig Bellamy, a player whom he is believed to hold in long-standing admiration.
Spurs are also believed to have an interest in VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, whilst Ledley King is set to be offered a new deal after the club also confirmed that Gareth Bale has signed a new four-year contract at White Hart Lane.
