To those who had never checked with this book, Things Fall Apart is a Nigerian novel written in response to European novels that depicted Africans as savages who needed to be enlightened by the Europeans. I liken this with our local politics where Opposition parties particularly, Mbowe’s CHADEMA seem to have been depicting Tanzanians as savages who needed to be enlightened by CHADEMA.

This is a time to tell Mbowe that, Things fall apart!

Whereas Things Fall Apart of Chinua Achebe is about pre and post colonialism on Igbo society, This one of Freeman Mbowe is about pre and post Mbowe on CHADEMA’s political performance.

We need to examine the effects of Mbowe’s poor leadership. The imperfections of Mbowe’s behaviour as well as his strengths. Like colonialism, Mbowe has largely negatively affected opposition politics; The problem of leadership supremacy, untouchables, and pretenders. The Opposition political parties are now Make-shift institutions meaning, they will never get old.

Your views contradict the reality of current politics in Tanzania. Chadema is not a dying party but a party in hibernation. I wonder how CDM survives the imposing dictatorship which has crumbled democracy and freedom of expression using all state machinery and power at its disposal. CCM has a few rounds before it is put to rest for good. The future has always been promising for CDM and currently we see this through even a brighter light.

Mambo ya kijinga kweli mmekaa hapo Lumumba kuanzisha slid za cdm tu huyu anatupia hii mwingine hii alaf mnakoment wenyewe? Kwan matatizo ya Tanzania ni cdm? Wajinga wote
