The New Libya...

............."I think the US is very happy if Libya becomes a chaotic place where there is no real central power opposing anything they do," he shared adding that "political stability and having the oil flow are two very different things."

QUOTE]

How long did it take Gadaffi to build the so called the old Libya? I hite Gadaffi as I do to CCM and other black colonialist

Libyans will only dream of having an "old Libya" To destroy a nation is easier and it takes shorter time to do it,where as building it is the opposite.

Gadaffi is not equal to Libya!!!.

Tunaitizama issue in all angles.Siwezi kwasemea walibya, bado wako kwenye civil war,wao ndo wanaweza kukujibu vyema kama it was all worthy or not...

Libya's newly elected interim assembly has elected moderate Islamist Mohammed Magarief as its president, after being installed as Libya's highest authority.
Mr Magarief is the leader of the National Front Party, which is an offshoot of the main opposition group during Muammar Gaddafi's rule.

The interim National Transitional Council handed over power to the 200-member assembly on Thursday.

The NTC, which was formed during last year's revolt, has now been dissolved.
The assembly is tasked with electing a prime minister and passing laws until full parliamentary elections can be held under a new constitution.
Originally from Waddan in southern Libya, Mr Magarief has roots in Libya's second city, Benghazi, where the uprising against Gaddafi originated.

A Libyan army general, with a senior defence ministry role, has been shot dead in the eastern city of Benghazi.

General Mohamed Hadia al-Feitouri was returning home from Friday prayers when a group of gunmen pulled up in a car and opened fire, his son said.

In recent months, Benghazi has seen a spate of killings of security officials who, like Gen Hadia, served under former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Mdada ameondolewa kwa sababu amecha kichwa wazi, anauza urembo.

It was a proud historic moment for Libyans and no more so than for Sarah El-Mesallati who was chosen to present the ceremony. However the congressman from Misrata, Salah El Din Badi was unhappy about the choice of presenter and made his feelings known, sparking an incident that would spark a national debate on women's place in public spaces. This film interviews Sarah, Salah El Din and captures some of the reactions to the controversial event.

Libya said it had arrested 32 supporters of the country's former leader Muammar Gaddafi in connection with bombings that killed two people in the capital Tripoli earlier on Sunday.

An official from Libya's Supreme Security Committee, which has been supervising security matters since Gaddafi's overthrow and death last year, said the 32 had been part of an organised network.

Connections between the group and the attacks, near security and interior ministry facilities, "have been established", the official told Reuters.
