"We committed many mistakes," he said. "Democracy and taking votes to make decision in many, many incidents led us to these mistakes," he said.

"The way the NTC is run is just similar to the old regime with no vision," he said.

He said the failure to seriously investigate Gadhafi-era war atrocities as well as the absence of police and courts has left the door open for individuals to take matters into their own hands. Even families who were not linked to Gadhafi regime but fled during the war have been tagged as traitors and forced to leave their houses when they returned.

Civic leaders from Libya's eastern Cyrenaica province will on Tuesday launch a push for regional autonomy, posing a new challenge to the country's fragile cohesion after the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.

Five thousand people are due to attend an inaugural "Congress of the People of Cyrenaica" near the eastern city of Benghazi where they will set out a proposal for Libya to be transformed into a federal state, one of the organisers said.

I am a bit concerned about the politics of Libya but to the moment I have not attained the idea behind what the Libyans wanted after the fall of Gaddafi. I believe Libya was to be advancing more democratically and in its internal peace and security as well. I expected a Tunisia-like model of transition.
To my surprise however, is this unending clashes between rivals and the NTC. Reports of killings and gunshots are eminent. On the other side Tripoli is engulfed with uncollected garbage, meaning that some social sectors have paralyzed.
Does this mean that Libyans and the NTC were not ready for Libya without Gaddafi?
How will they resolve the differences within?
Where is the international media (coverage on these issues) and Allied forces (France and NATO)?
Was the intent to see Gaddafi dead without any way forward?

Just curious to know!
