Jamani kitu alichofanya Pasco ni kutupa his side of the story.
Mimi huwa siwaamini hawa wanaojiita wawekezaji hata kidogo. With a very short time wakaanza kujenga hoja. Finally wakanandikia barua kuwa I should step down as one of directors. Tangu mwaka 2007 to date nadai shares zangu na hawataki kulipa. Kesi sasa iko mahakama kuu na still hawataki hata mediation on the matter. Hawa I call them wezi tu hawana faida na nchi yetu.
If the matter was with Benjamin Mengi, I fail to understand why it should be borne by Reginald Mengi. What I see here is that, these investors did a careless investment decision by trusting a person without evaluating his/her character. As a result, they lost their money. Now these smear campaigns are in effort extort money from Reginald Mengi because they believe that as the only way for them to recover what they lost in the hands his brother. Forcing Reginald to be guilty by association rather than seeing if he has had any guilt mind or guilt acts in this case is a very unusual approach by any sensible people.''IPP Media is owned and run by Mr. Reginald Mengi, the brother of Mr. Benjamin Mengi. Reginald Mengi expressed his concerns to the British Government that the case involving his brother was damaging his own business interests and reputation. The British High Commissioner to Tanzania at the time, Mr. Andrew Pocock, stated that he was concerned about our reputation and about the defamatory statements appearing in IPP Media publications. Mr. Mengi stated that he was not aware of the defamatory publications and that, as CEO of IPP Media (i.e. not the editor), he could not be held responsible for them. He requested a meeting with my husband and Mr. Pocock at his home in Dar es Salaam. My husbands clear recollection of this meeting was that Mr. Mengi promised he would address his brother's behaviour and that he would personally pay for our legal costs arising from the vexatious litigation started by his brother. He denies this. Mr. Mengi did not honour these promises. Far from diminishing, the defamation campaign in IPP Media publications escalated from this point onwards''
The letter written by the Ambassador does not show any monetary commitment by Reginald Mengi. Unless the copy that I read here is not the one written by His Excellency the Ambassador. My husbands clear recollection of this meeting was that Mr. Mengi promised he would address his brother's behaviour and that he would personally pay for our legal costs arising from the vexatious litigation started by his brother.

Your objective is still the same; to get money from anywhere: either from Mengi or from the Tanzanian Government. I wish you good luck if you will succeed; I believe no sensible lawyer can see any substance in your claims given the level of evidence against you that you have unknowingly spread all over the world. That is why I think you are not careful in what you do, and hence you made wrong business decisions, which are now hurting you. Learn to swallow your mistakes and find a way forward because that is one side of any business. The investors niether want or ask for money from Reginald mengi as they are taking an ICSID claim against the Tanzanian government fo failing to protect their investment.

To be sincere the more I read this story since it started surfacing on this forum about four years ago, the more I doubt on your credibility. You have been jumping to almost whoever you think can cause damage to Reginald Mengi instead of dealing with Benjamin Mengi. You have been to Manji, Rostam Aziz, the World Bank , CocaCola or anything. In fact the letter that you wrote to Cocacola was very unprofessional containing elements of blackmailing Cocacola International, which can be a criminal offense.
I am afraid to say this, but as a serious foreign investor, I fail to see why you struggled to pay just $120,000 and close that deal. The more you dragged the payment the worse you made the matter. I have just read that the final payment was made after the deadline had passed; therefore you may have contributed to making Benjamin change his mind. Unfortunately, your initial contract does not have any clause on what to be done should one of the parties defaults. You were the first defaulter for not paying within the agreed time frame.
I really sympathize with your situation, but as I recall your first posting here four years ago threatening to stop the British Government from giving aid to Tanzania, combined with the plethora of your communications all over the world on this case, now I think I can see your problem more clearly.
When you are a lawyer and know what you are talking about you would have a right to comment. Until then I suggest you keep your racist and inaccurate remarks to yourself!!!:bored:
