Bosz: I have to be honest and say that Madrid were the better team

Real Madrid picked up a vital three points in Tuesday's Champions League meeting with Borussia Dortmund, and the German side's boss, Peter Bosz, conceded that they were good value for their 3-1 win.

Having previously been defeated at Wembley against Tottenham Hotspur, Dortmund's chances of progression in the competition already appear at risk, and they can not afford any more slip-ups.

"We have four games and we will try to win them," Bosz said after the loss.

"It is important that we win both games against APOEL and the matches between Real Madrid and Tottenham will be big."

Speaking about the European champions, Bosz admitted that they were on another level to his side, but was aggrieved by the decision not to award his team a penalty.

"We lost to a very good team," he added.

"I have to be honest and say that Madrid were the better team and that their victory was deserved.

"With VAR it would have been a penalty and the referee was not at his best."
