On to the next round, but I'm not pleased by our performance tonight. I think we won because Napoli relaxed, more than us being the superior team. They played the better futbol. Zidane has got to realize that BBC are a liability now, can't have all of them at the same time and play well.

Few positives for Real Madrid vs. Napoli
While Real Madrid have secured qualification into the quarter-finals for the Champions League for their seventh consecutive season, things are not nearly as rosy on the pitch as it seems.

Indeed, up until Sergio Ramos' heroic intervention, a positive result looked in doubt and the tie looked to be in danger.

With his key players back from injury, Zinedine Zidane opted to return to his 4-3-3 formation with Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo starting up front, a move which most coaches would undoubtedly have made.

But even with his preferred starting XI restored and his star men back leading the line, Los Blancos looked uninspired with the ball as Maurizio Sarri's men ran ragged.

The capital club were brutally punished for a lacklustre first-half as Dries Mertens opened the scoring midway through the half and apart from Ronaldo finding the post on one occasion, Zidane's men barely looked threatening.

Instead, it would be Ramos, the captain himself, that would rise to the occasion to restore parity after the interval before expertly setting up a Mertens own goal to swing the tie back in their favour.

It is rather fitting, then, that the player which such character and presence - the perfect Madridismo - who strikes despair into the hearts of most rivals, was the club's saving grace on the night.

But the inspirational skipper will not always be there when the club needs him most, and it would be unfair to expect that on a regular basis.

The result, then, should urge Zidane to look at other options for the big matches. If the regulars fail to step up, as they did against Napoli, then it is well worth given others the chance to impress.

[HASHTAG]#OnThisDay[/HASHTAG] in 2006, Milan defeated Bayern Munich 4-1 to advance to the quarter finals of the Champions league

Zidane won 50th match with Real Madrid after 68 matches . 13 draws and 5 defeats . But my words, if Zidane is going to stay next season then an assistant manager is very much needed.
